Andrex Clean Campaign Challenge

Being a parent for almost seven years, I have often found brown patches on the bathmat after someone earlier was getting changed while sitting there. Each time, I have to name and shame one of my children and keep telling them how to clean themselves after going to the toilet.

In fact according to Andrex®, 34% of parents rate teaching their children how to be clean after going to the toilet as the most difficult parenting task, beating teaching them to brush teeth (15%), holding cutlery (5%) and blowing their nose (3%). So I am not the only one facing the same problem. Therefore Andrex® wants to start a conversation around what being clean really means and demonstrate that how we clean and care for our intimate areas can make a huge difference, not only to our physical wellbeing but to how good and confident we really feel. It’s done this by creating the Andrex® Clean Routine and this is the guide.

Articulate for Kids Review

Articulate for Kids is so far one of my children’s and also my favourite games from Drumond Park. The game is very simple to follow and very fun to play! It can be played by a group of children by themselves or with grown-ups and is suitable for 4 to 20 players and for aged 6 and upwards.

Mike the Knight: Journey to Dragon Mountain

Last week, we were really fortunate to get invited to attend the launch event for the Mike the Knight: Journey to Dragon Mountain DVD at Warwick Castle. We set off and reached the castle within 45 minutes from our home.

We all settled in soon and watched the movie while eating jam tarts! Mr K and Ms C love Mike the Knight and have been watching the show since young. Mr K would always pretend to be Mike and Ms C would be Evie!

Flower Toy Box & Desk

Love a toy box for storing all sorts of junk and love a desk for playing or learning? Kidsplaykit sells this ingeniously designed flower toy box and desk serves both these purposes. It is a desk and a play table, making it perfect for those with limited storage space just like us! In addition to this gorgeous pink flower toy box theme, they also have a dinosaur and race track themes which is more suitable for the boy’s room.

Science4you Creativity Cubes & Pyramids Review

Teaching my children about science is always very challenging and fun for us. I always look for simple ideas that don’t require too many materials as it can quickly become very expensive. We did experiment on coke with mentos, fruit bobbing and corny goo. I am delighted to find out that Science4you has a huge range of activity sets at a reasonable price.

We have received Science4you Creativity Cubes and First Steps in Construction – Pyramids for both my children aged 5 and 6 for review.

Lottie Dolls Butterfly Protector Review

Last month, Lottie celebrated her two year anniversary having made her appearance in 2012 as the first ever ‘pro-girl’ doll. They are designed for girls aged 3 – 9. Lottie was developed with scientific expertise from leading British academics, alongside consumer research, to address parental concerns over negative body image, an increased perception of premature sexualisation, as well as a desire for a return to good old-fashioned creative and imaginative play.

JOHNSON’S Baby – First Touch

Determining what you can and cannot use baby’s skin and their hair is always worrying for first time parents. To help new parents looking for peace of mind the JOHNSON’S® Baby brand has created FIRST TOUCH™, a brand new fragrance-free range developed for newborns that includes everything new parents need to cleanse and protect their baby’s delicate skin from top to toe.

Newborn skin is very delicate and a study of 540 first-time mums shown that almost two thirds (62%) said their baby experienced dry or sensitive skin, over half (51%) experienced redness or a rash, and almost a quarter (24%) suffered from cradle cap or dandruff. Newborn skin is around a third thinner than adult skin and loses moisture quicker, making them more susceptible to dryness and irritation and in need of extra care to protect their skin’s natural defences.

OXO Good Grips Spatula Review

OXO Good Grips have recently launched a new colourful range of spatulas that helps brighten your kitchen and colour your life! They are made from silicone and are heat resistant up to 315°C, meaning that they won’t discolour, warp or melt. Each spatula features a soft, comfortable, non-slip grip and are safe for coated or non-stick cookware and bakeware. However, the downside is that the handle does attract dust though!

My Friend Cayla Review

Two months ago, I was invited to attend a My Friend Cayla tea party hosted by Vivid at Hamleys with Ms C. We were introduced to My Friend Cayla. She is the first ‘live’ interactive doll designed to sync with an online smart device (iOS and Android) to recognise a child’s speech. She is aided by Google’s speech-to-text technology.

Hardwall Takker Review

Since becoming a SAHM, my passion for DIY has been getting stronger! Each time, I tell myself, yes, I can do it. From wallpapering, fixing cupboards to making my own magnetic chalkboard, I have accumulated a numbers of tools! One of the essential bit of kit is a drill, drill bits and wall plugs for putting things up.

Hanging picture is one of the easiest jobs yet it can still go very wrong! For example, there’s a couple of pictures in our home that I have to push straight every now and again! Hopefully it doesn’t drop!

Maya the Bee

Maya is a little bee like no other. Thirsty for adventure, she leaves the hive to live in the meadow, free like a bee! The world is just too big and too fascinating to remain confined to the restricted life of the hive. For Maya, the natural beauties of the world are an endless delight for the senses! Her courage, wits and insatiable curiosity will lead her off the beaten track as she wonders at the joys and hitches of life along the way.

Cat’s Cradle – Witch’s Broom

Recently, I received this Cat’s cradle book and it was a real blast from the past as it triggered memories of playing this in the playground with my school mates. It was really popular during my childhood among all the girls as they tried to solve the next challenge!

Asus T100 Transformer – a tablet or a laptop? That’s what I would like to try to answer by the end of this post. I have been sent a fabulous new Asus T100 Transformer and I have been using it for a month now.

Life Canvas Stationery Review

Last month, Parragon launched two new and exciting Life Canvas stationery ranges: Wild and Paris. We were so lucky to receive their Paris range: sticky note tin and pocket notebook. In this range, they also have a weekly planner, mini sticky notes, tins in tins, notecards in tin, stylish pencils, book of labels, magnet set, file folders, trio of notebooks and a journal.

This Paris city-chic romance range is so elegant and aspirational. Each stationery is beautifully created with pretty pastel shades and timeless iconic Parisian landmarks!
