The Three Little Magicians Review

19 September 2014 by Eileen

The Three Little Magicians is a book written by author and illustrator team Georgie Adams and Emily Bolam. This is the red Early Reader which is the next step on your child’s reading journey. It was released on 4 September 2014 and published by Orion Books.

the three little magicians book review

The book is paperback containing about 80 pages in total with seven chapters. The font comes in various sizes and it is quite a big book for Mr K who is aged 6 to read during bedtime. Mr K finds it challenging with all the magical terms. There is a good mix of simple words used which should be easy to read by school children. Each page contains a good balance of sentences with colourful illustrations.

The story is about three little magicians named Miranda, Maisy and Max who want to help their neighbour friend Mr Marzipan to defeat the evil Zigzag. So Mr Marzipan gave them a very special book of magic tricks to help them win the Best Magic Show. When they opened up the special book, it is empty on every page! Only the use of some magic words will reveal the secret.

This is an interesting and engaging story and Mr K read the whole book in one session. The illustration is fantastic and fun.

Disclosure: I received this book from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site.
