Interplay Hair Lights Review

29 October 2015 by Eileen Leave a Comment

This half term, we have been keeping ourselves busy with many fun activities. One such activity included changing our hair colour for the day. Both children are of a school age and their school are very strict on dress code, jewellery, etc. Hence now is the perfect time for us to have fun with our hair.

This Interplay FabLab hair lights kit is suitable for 8 years old and above. It comes with six coloured hair chalks, a pair of gloves, two hair clips and instructions. The six coloured hair chalks are yellow, red, purple, pink, blue and green. They all come in a secure container which both my children find hard to open.

This is quite simple and straightforward to use. Simply grab a small amount of hair and press it again the container and gentle rub it in. Most of the hair chalks should stick onto your hair. You do find a bit of loose powder on the container and your hair. It might stain your clothing or furniture etc.

To choose the colour, it is best to choose the right colour that will contrast with your hair. If you have very dark hair like us, use the lighter colours whereas darker colours will stand out better in fair hair.

We used the yellow and pink on our hair. It does not show as vibrantly as we wanted but then again our hairs are too dark a shade.

I used the blue on Mr K’s hair and it work quite well on his but the photo doesn’t do it justice. He is a very hippy and happy child with his new hair style!

Overall it is easy to use and both my children enjoyed styling my hair. It is also easy to wash out just use normal hair shampoo and warm water.
