Alma Win Orange Oil Cleaner

22 June 2013 by Eileen

There are so many different cleaning products on the market. Are you getting confused with the chemicals used and how effective they are? Until today, I had not heard about Alma Win Orange Oil Cleaner. The company kindly gave me a bottle to try. It is an all-purpose cleaner and completely biodegradable. It is concentrated and comes in baby safe screw top cap with a flow control spout. The smell of orange is quite strong.

The normal recommended usage is to dilute it to clean all water-resistant surfaces. Depending on how dirty the area to be cleaned is, add 2-4 caps (30-60 ml) to 5 litres of water. It becomes milky when diluted with water.

You can also use it undiluted to clean/remove:

  • Glue residues
  • Wax and sealing residues
  • Tar spots
  • Grease and fat stains
  • Rubber marks on floors
  • Ball-point pen and felt-pen spots
  • Nail polish and oil paints
  • Clothing stains (always test on a discreet place and wash afterwards)
  • Stains on upholstered furniture and carpets (always test in a discreet place first)
  • Bad odours (e.g. dustbins, compost bins)

Alma Win Orange Oil Cleaner Concentrate can be used on all surfaces but you should always test on a discreet area before use to ensure product suitability for the surface type, especially when using on varnished, sensitive, epoxy surfaces and rubber parts.

Using it undiluted removed stains or dirt easier than diluted. I tried it on my cooker and the splash surface. I applied the solution over the greasy areas and left it for a few minutes before I used a dry cloth to clean it. If you use a wet cloth to clean it, you might find that the surface become very milky. It was very easy to lift up the old cooking grease and grime. It also performed superbly on my rice cooker and it is now shiny and almost like new. Overall, this is a fantastic product that is free from chemicals and it is a plant-based product. They have others organic household cleaners, e.g. for bathroom, toilet, washing up etc.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
