Parents will want to be aware of a concerning eye health trend that’s emerged in the past few years: rising cases of short-sightedness across the globe. In the UK alone, myopia rates doubled in the last five decades. Certain ethnicities are also at risk. In particular, those of Chinese descent are 240% more likely to develop myopia than their Caucasian counterparts.
The King of Fruits Durian
Every time I go back to Singapore, we will always have a durian feast with my family. My sisters would source the best and one of the most expensive ranges of durian for me. Through the years, even though they have tried to buy from many durian sellers, they will always look out for more – in case, their usual sellers run out of the type of durian they want, they have someone else to fall back on.
The Surprising Relationship Between CRO and E-Commerce
It seems as if the modern world of online marketing is laden with a veritable “alphabet soup” of acronyms and technical terms. SEO, CRM, B2B and B2C represent a handful of examples. One lesser-known concept is known as conversion rate optimisation. Otherwise referred to as CRO, this notion will have a profound impact upon the success of any e-commerce portal. Let us take an in-depth look at the principles behind CRO as well as its applications in order to appreciate its relationship with online sales solutions in general.
Christmas Tradition with Tesco

Shopping at Tesco is always a regular choice for me as not only it is a bigger EXTRA store, they also offer a free venue for our Lichfield Mandarin Club every Tuesday from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. We have been using their community room since last year December for our Chinese class. This works out great for us as my children go to learn their mother’s tongue and I can also have two hours of child free grocery shopping and have some relaxing cup of tea at the in-store Costa.
Some of you might know that I was born in Singapore and my family never celebrated Christmas while we were growing up. As we live here in the UK though, I want my children to have some of the Christmas spirit as their friends do so they don’t miss out. So since two years ago, we started to make a gingerbread house as part of our Christmas tradition at home!
Trolley Bags Review
When I was asked to review Trolley Bags, the first thing that got stuck in my head was those granny bags that you bring out to buy groceries. I was so wrong! In fact, there are made up of four various sized reusable shopping bags that are used for packing your shopping at the supermarket checkout.
Nowadays, I tend to do scan as you shop as it is so much easier than getting your grocery out from the trolley and waiting at the checkout to pay. So I very much welcome this idea of using Trolley Bags.
When I received the trolley bags, my first impression was that they are quite bulky measuring 100cm x 20cm x 15cm (with 2 long rails on each bag) but fairly lightweight (around 2 kg). They are made from tough materials on the upper top and mesh on the bottom.
Smiggle Open Birmingham Bullring
Last week, Smiggle opened in Birmingham Bullring and I was invited to see the showcase of their Christmas range. I have to be honest and say that I had not heard of Smiggle until two months ago and even while I was in Singapore for holiday.
Shopping for NBN Workshop

Earlier this month, I was so excited to receive an email to say that I had been accepted to attend the NBN (Next Blogger Network) workshop. This is going to be great experience for me as I am very new to fashion blogging.
There will be 3 sessions on: SEO and web design; brand and advertising; photography and film. I am very excited and hoping I can do more fashion posts in future. I am quite a novice at fashion but I am keen to learn. I want to dress appropriately to hide away all my fat bits around my body. So I was thrilled when I was picked to do an autumn makeover shop! I am a size 16-18.
My Kingfisher Fashion Blogger Challenge
Each month Kingfisher Shopping Centre sets a local fashion blogger a challenge where they have to buy a Spring/Summer outfit from the Kingfisher Shopping Centre for £50.00 or less. I am really happy to have been selected to do this challenge. I have not done an adult fashion blog on my blog before and this is a great treat for myself and let my readers to know more about me.

Yesterday, we all went to Tesco to do our weekly shopping and to cook a nice Easter Sunday lunch. We decided to have a lazy Sunday. Rather than going out for an Easter Egg hunt, we created one at home instead.
