Shopping for NBN Workshop

Earlier this month, I was so excited to receive an email to say that I had been accepted to attend the NBN (Next Blogger Network) workshop. This is going to be great experience for me as I am very new to fashion blogging.

There will be 3 sessions on: SEO and web design; brand and advertising; photography and film. I am very excited and hoping I can do more fashion posts in future. I am quite a novice at fashion but I am keen to learn. I want to dress appropriately to hide away all my fat bits around my body. So I was thrilled when I was picked to do an autumn makeover shop! I am a size 16-18.

Before I went shopping, I did some research on the Next website as I want to spend as little as possible and keep within budget. I am a Next fan as I love their style of clothing. I have plenty of Next clothes but they are mismatched party dresses or plain tops. I did have something in mind to buy to match my tops and dresses and wanted to get jewellery and scarves to match. I also needed to replace my trousers as they are very worn. This is definitely an excuse for me to get more clothes!

So I went to the local Next superstore where they have clothing and home furnishings. After spending two hours in store, I bought pair of petite trousers, leggings, scarves and bracelet.  I had to cut short my shopping as I needed to fetch my daughter from school. I’m sure I could have bought more if I had more time!

The first outfit is more casual where I wore a plain knitted top with pink Next scarves, Next trousers and Next bracelet. Whilst it does not have the wow factor, I love this outfit as it is comfortable.

My next outfit is a classic look. It is all black except for the accessories to add some colour. I had worn my Next leggings, Next scarf and Next bracelet.

My last outfit is a business look. After I took off my coat, I could still keep my scarf on with my bracelet. I think my best buy is the Next scarf and bracelet as they are suitable for all three looks I have. Out of all three styles, I think this look is better on me. What do you think? Which one do you think suits me best? Or do I need to get more accessories to add on?
