TaiWan Night Markets, Cineleisure Singapore

Last month, I went back to Singapore and one of the first things I wanted to try was this food court style TaiWan Night Markets at Cineleisure Orchard. This is a Taiwanese street food concept that opened on the 28th July 2023. I hoped to bring back memories of visiting Taiwan (2016) 7 years ago and trying out their street foods.

Nobody wants to spend an average of £18,400 on a wedding only for everything to go wrong. This guide will walk you through some steps for a perfect wedding reception.

Wild Garlic

I first came across wild garlic when I won a vegetable box through a local food and vegetable business ten years ago. Since then, my husband is always looking out for it but it’s not something you find in your local supermarket.

Branded or Non-Branded Game Format

After hosting my first game – How posh are you, my friends asked me to host another game as they were very keen to play. So this time round, I decided to rename it to the Branded or Non-Branded game.

How Posh Are You Game Format

Last week, I hosted a brand testing game with our close friends and it was so fun and challenging. It was my first time planning this game and it took me a good couple of hours just to research pricing and images, buy items from various supermarkets, create score sheets for everyone and a PowerPoint presentation! This game was inspired by my sister-in-law, as she also hosted a similar game during a Chinese New Year meal earlier this year.

Saving money with tastecard

Before the start of this pandemic, the only occasions when I got time off cooking were one of the days during the weekend. Meal planning has never been one of my strong points. Also cooking is not something I always enjoy, especially as I have a list of food restrictions to follow. My husband can’t eat foods with coconut milk and dairy products.  Whilst my daughter doesn’t like spicy food and I don’t eat beef or lamb. The list goes longer as we get older.

Things to Remember About Indian Food

Indian food is rich with interesting ingredients and cultural influences. It’s also fascinating to learn more about its history. Many in the UK crave it when they don’t feel like cooking.

According to ChefOnline, many people feel it “is likely to crave a hefty Indian dinner after a long day when cooking dinner sounds worse than serving time in prison.” Below are some top facts many don’t know about the best Indian takeaway they love.

Best Food and Wine Pairings

Wine pairing is a delicate technique where you match complementary food dishes with their perfect wine to maximize the value that each component has to offer. It is important to pair your food with the right wine if you want to accomplish a perfect dining experience. At first glance, wine pairing can seem very complex, especially if you are a beginner. However, wine pairing is not that difficult. When choosing wine, there are six main flavor profiles you should look for: acidity, fattiness, bitterness, saltiness, sweetness, and alcohol percentage.  Each flavor profile you can mix and match to create a perfect balance between the components of the dish and the characteristics of a wine. There are two basic principles that are practiced in wine pairing.  The first one is the contrasting pairing, where you achieve balance by pairing contrasting flavors. The second one is the congruent pairing, where you pair flavor profiles to create balance by amplifying each other. In order to achieve the perfect combination, you do need to have a few bottles of wine at home so that you have a selection to choose from. If you want to avoid constantly going to the market, you can join a wine club that delivers straight to your home. To find the perfect wine club for you, take a look at these monthly wine club reviews.

While there’s still some debate about it, dinner is still considered as one of the 3 most important meals of the day. By eating nutritious food after a long day full of activities you are giving your body a chance to maintain its balance, improve digestion and get a good night’s sleep.

However, preparing the ultimate dinner often poses a real challenge for many families. While some opt for lighter meals such as Caprese pasta salad, others look for something more eloquent like Wagyu beef.
