Fun in Beaudesert Park Farm

Having lived in the Midlands for seven years, there are still a lot of places we have yet to explore. Last week, during the Easter break, we went to Beaudesert Park Farm for an education tour hosted by Aiming High via Staffordshire Council. Helpfully, I had my TomTom Sat Nav to give me a helping hand to find Beaudesert Park Farm. We were greeted by Mary, the owner and her helper who guided us through the whole session.

Easter Breakfast at Wyevale Garden Centre

Did you know that Wyevale Garden Centre is currently running an Easter event for you and your family to have breakfast with the cute Easter bunny? The session lasts for approximately 90 minutes and is suitable for children between 2–10 years old.

Both children were so excited when I told them that we were going have breakfast with the bunny! They both were looking forward to sharing their meal and of course getting a lot of chocolate too!

Lichfield Shrovetide Fair and Pancake Toss 2015

The Shrovetide Fair and Pancake Toss has always been held in Lichfield’s Bore Street come rain or shine, every year at noon. Finally, this year we were are able to make it as the event coincided with half term. So we met up a few friends along with their children to watch the race.

We didn’t take part as we arrived too late to enter the race but nevertheless, we had fun watching the race. It was my first time and also for my children. They were even more thrilled to see one of their best friends enter the race.

Propel Flying Start

Last week, I was fortunate to be in London for my son’s video shoot that I could also squeeze in the chance to attend the Propel event at the RAF museum. My husband and son would definitely have loved to attend too but due to my son’s shooting, they both had to stay put while Ms C and I went.

It was a lovely event! Propel hosted it at the RAF museum which was a fantastic location to display and demo their Propel models. We were so excited when we saw so many different types of remote control helicopters. They have taken the US by storm and have now come to the UK.

I have been to BritMums live 2014

It’s been 12 months in the planning, but I’ve finally been to attend the Britmums live event this weekend! I bought the Britmums early bird ticket to make sure that I attended as I had always heard that the blogging conference was a superb event! So the day arrived and on Friday, I travelled alone to London Euston and managed to meet up with a couple of bloggers there. Arriving at the Brewery where the conference was held just before the event and there were already a huge group of people milling around there.

I am going to BritMums 2014

When I started blogging, one of the first blogs I followed was BritMums.  They regularly set challenges like bring Barney on an adventure or cooking an egg dish.  I try to join in as much as possible as it helps to give me something to do with my children or being creative.

Singapore Day 2014, London

We have been waiting for this day for a very long time and finally this year, we managed to attend it!  The Singapore Day celebrations tours different countries each year and we missed the last one in the UK a few years back.

We all travelled down by train early on Saturday morning and arrived at Victoria Park way with plenty of time to spare.  When we got there, the queue was already massive.  Luckily, we had our children with us and we are allowed to use the priority line.  We had to pass through a few security checks before we could go in and then had to wait again!  If you have a look at Singapore Day Facebook page’s photo, you will spot us rushing off the moment they opened its doors!

Hillarys Ideal Home Show and their New 2014 Collection

Last Thursday, the lovely people from Hillarys had invited me to attend their event at the Ideal Home Show and after show party.

This is my second time going to Ideal Home Show.  It was slightly disappointing as it didn’t have as many exhibitors as the Christmas Ideal Home Show I attended previously.  I would love to be able to purchase more home items like cushions, rugs and utensils but items available are more like gadgets such as speakers, water filters and mops.
