It’s been 12 months in the planning, but I’ve finally been to attend the Britmums live event this weekend! I bought the Britmums early bird ticket to make sure that I attended as I had always heard that the blogging conference was a superb event! So the day arrived and on Friday, I travelled alone to London Euston and managed to meet up with a couple of bloggers there. Arriving at the Brewery where the conference was held just before the event and there were already a huge group of people milling around there.
While queuing to get into the event, a lady from BBC interviewed me and I think I did my best selling my blog to her! At least I hope! After arriving inside, it was madness! There were so many people and very overwhelming. I was glad to meet up with some bloggers and started chatting. Later, we walked around to get to know to brands.
After the welcome from Jennifer Howze and Susanna Scott, we had the lovely Emma Freud who shared with us her tips and of course everyone has to wear a tiara! That is her rule! So this is me with my tiara! Tada….
I was delighted to have a mini chat to Jennifer, one of the BritMums co-founders! She recognised me instantly as she had watch my YouTube video! Fame at last lol! Hopefully next year, I will get shortlisted for bibs video again! Fingers crossed!
I had a fantastic time at the event which provided plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to learn tips from the experts. I have gleaned many tips to improve my blog and YouTube channel. I hope to be able to put some of these tips into practice over the next few weeks and months for a better and neater blog and a better search for my YouTube video. Do follow Nigel Camp @nigelcamp and Greg @travizeo for their fabulous tips for video!
Also I had learnt to take a better photo and the meaning of aperture and time exposure. Mr C had tried explaining to me several times already and I don’t think I totally understood him. But after the event, I’m a lot clearer of what this is and how to use it to take better photos.
Another of my hobbies is to learn about food blogging! I love to cook and be creative but I can never seem to take a great photo for food. Thanks to the two lovely ladies Kerstin from MsMarmiteLover and Jeanne from Cook Sister! It has been an amazing conference and I am already looking forward to next years event! If you love blogging and love to learn more about it, do come and join in!
