Easter Breakfast at Wyevale Garden Centre

29 March 2015 by Eileen 3 Comments

Did you know that Wyevale Garden Centre is currently running an Easter event for you and your family to have breakfast with the cute Easter bunny? The session lasts for approximately 90 minutes and is suitable for children between 2–10 years old.

Both children were so excited when I told them that we were going have breakfast with the bunny! They both were looking forward to sharing their meal and of course getting a lot of chocolate too!

When we arrived, we were shown to our table which were beautifully decorated with an Easter theme. I also noticed that our local garden centre have recently updated their décor and furniture too. Now it has a much fresher look with pots of flowers in every corner of the restaurant. Also, a key improvement for me is the Wi-Fi! It used to be really patchy and intermittent but now I was able to access at any time!

Once we settled on our table, we were served with drinks like tea and coffee for adult and orange or blackcurrant squash for children. There were activity sheets with crayons for children to entertain themselves before they served our yummy looking breakfast!

For children, they both had a good size sausage, hash brown, baked beans and toast with butter for £9.99. Look at that! Doesn’t it look delicious! I love that they even make the effort to put the baked beans in a small cup. It looks very elegant and also prevent the toast or hash browns go soggy. Best of all was the sausage. It was tasty and not overcooked. It was just perfect!

As for us adults, we had a proper full English breakfast including toast, tea or filter coffee for only £7.99. There are a vegetarian and mini breakfast (pastry and drink) options too. Again, the items were really well cooked and presented so it didn’t take us long to finish it all!

When we eating, Mr Bunny was lurking outside the restaurant reading his newspaper and munching his carrot! All the children were so excited and kept screaming for him.

Soon after we had finished our breakfast, the children were all given an Easter egg shaped shortbread biscuit to decorate using three different decorations and icing. Mr K was so excited and he made a bird nest on the biscuit sprinkled with a lot of decorations. Ms C asked me to help and we made this cute little Easter egg.

Before they wrapped up, Mr Bunny came and each of the children were given a cuddly toy plus a Lindt Chocolate rabbit! Mr Bunny is so cuddly that all the children wanted to give him a cuddle.

Overall, we had a great experience and fantastic time at the garden centre. This is our first time attending the Easter event and we are already looking forward to the Easter breakfast next year. It was a good value breakfast and children had so much fun throughout the event. It was a lovely family day out too. I would definitely recommend it. To experience the breakfast with Easter bunny, do check your nearest Wyevale garden centre for the timing and to book online.

After the event, both children were playing at the soft play area for a bit before we walked around looking for plants and flowers. I finally bought some basket lining for my hanging baskets and some flowers to go along with it! I am so pleased with that.

Disclosure: We were invited to the event for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
