Bring Barny to Scotland

21 February 2014 by Eileen

This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Winter Little Adventures Challenge’ sponsored by Barny, individually wrapped bear-shaped sponges with a hidden filling. Find out more about Barny here.

Last year, Ms C took Barny out to explore the nature in autumn where she went on to look for insects. We have tried their chocolate and milk flavour. Now they come in two new delicious flavours: Apple and Strawberry filling. It is a sponge cake with a hidden flavoured filling. They come in a multipack of 5 single packs (5 x 30g) which is great to take out in a lunch box or as a quick snack as they are individually wrapped. They are not suitable for people who have allergies to wheat, gluten, soya, milk, eggs or nuts. They do not have artificial colours or preservatives.

This half term, we drove up to Scotland and bought little Barny along.  We went to Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh. In between, we had a pit stop and have a little munch. Barny makes a great snack on the go. The sponge is soft and not overly sweet. It is a nice portion for a child to eat. Each individually wrapped piece has a cardboard tray insert to keep them from getting too squashed and it means I can put them in our picnic basket.

We have been lucky with the weather in Scotland that we could enjoy a countryside walk and a picnic. Mr K and Ms C have had so much fun visiting the ice cream farm, visiting the Highland Chocolatier, going on a cruise on Loch Ness and many more. Thanks to Barny for keeping our little explorers fuelled. What have you done this half term? Have you tried Barny before? What do you think of them?

Disclosure: We have received two packets of Barny World to do this competition and for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Beautiful Scotland – I’m sure Barny enjoyed his adventures with your children. The chocolate egg is very impressive and I can see kept safely behind glass! I take it you didn’t spot Nessy then. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
