Mr C is a huge fan of Star Wars. When he saw this dressing gown, he was delighted – he couldn’t wait to unleash the force. Mr K was so jealous of his dad. He wants to be a Jedi too. This dressing gown resembles Obi Wan’s cloak from the legendary films, and any aspiring Jedi Knight will love it. It is well made with fine attention to detail. The material is 100% polyester fleece. It has two pockets, embroidered Jedi logo on the left side, large hood and big bell sleeves. It also comes with a sash belt. It is 146cm long that will fit adults size Medium to X Large. Mr C is 5 foot 4 (163cm) and the length of the rode touches on his toes. It is too big for him but it will keep him very warm and cosy with the fleece material. As it is made from fleece, it is bound to cause static. Besides being carefully of his light sabre, he needs to be careful he doesn’t get zapped by the static as it can be painful!
How to stave off the ageing process
My daily beauty routine is to wash my face in the morning and then apply a lot of face cream before getting my children ready for school. I like to keep it moisturised especially against the elements in this harsh cold weather. Also routinely after my daily shower, I will put on more face cream, have a weekly face mask, daily cleanser before I go to bed.

Shrek The Musical Boardway
If you have not watched Shrek before, read this to understand it better: Shrek is a grouchy, terrifying green ogre who loves the solitude in his swamp, finds his life interrupted when many fairytale characters are exiled into his swamp by order of the fairytale-hating Lord Farquaad. Shrek tells them that he will go ask Farquaad to send them back. Farquaad tortures the Gingerbread Man into giving the location of the remaining fairytale creatures until his guards rush in with something he has been searching for: the Magic Mirror. He asks The Mirror if his kingdom is the fairest of them all but is told that he is not even a king. To be a king he must marry a princess and is given three options, in a parody of The Dating Game: Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Fiona, from which he chooses Fiona, who is locked in a castle tower guarded by lava and a dragon. Shrek fights a fearsome dragon, rescues the princess and learns that real friendship and true love aren’t only found in fairy tales.

This December, beside getting toys, books or chocolate for the little ones, you might like to pop this Mike The Knight: A Very Knightly Christmas DVD into their Christmas stocking.
Drumond Park Mask ‘n’ Ask Review
Mask ‘n’ Ask from Drumond Park is a board game to guess who am I. It is for two to four players and for aged around 7 and above. There are 30 beautifully designed double-sided masks: colourful animal faces on one side, and jokey-looking human characters on the reverse. On the animal side, kids might find a cow, rabbit or elephant, for instance. And on the human side, the mask maybe a policeman, doctor or pilot.
Go Ape Tree Top Junior adventure
Mr K is always very keen on outdoor activities like rock climbing and football. I am so glad that Cannock Chase Go Ape have newly open the Tree Top Junior adventure earlier this year. I had only briefly read about them on their website but had no clue what to expect or if Mr K would like it or not. So it was a bit of a gamble.
Winter Skate in Birmingham Review
If you are coming down to Birmingham to do your shopping or to visit the Frankfurt Christmas Market, why not pop by to the Winter Skate. They are open for a limited of time only, until 5 January 2014, every day from 10 am to 10 pm. This morning, we were all so excited to don our ice skating boots as the children had never tried it before and it had been over 20 years ago that Mr C and I were last on the ice.
Wentworth Wooden Puzzles Review
Solving jigsaw puzzles are a great work out for the brain and can be beneficial for improving problem solving, learning ability and eye co-ordination for both children and adults. Jigsaw puzzles are normally made from cardboard but this Wentworth puzzle is 100% made in the UK from sustainably sourced 3mm wooden board. Every puzzle has unique whimsy shapes which typically relate to the picture theme. There are no two pieces that are the same.
OXO Good Grips Flip & Fold Omelet Turner Review
I always love kitchen gadgets that help to make cooking easier. This OXO Good Grips Flip & Fold Omelet Turner is perfect for making omelets. I always found it hard to use a flat wooden spatula to glide around the egg or turn the omelet around. The rim of the omelet tends to stick on the wooden spatula and it is hard to flip the whole omelet with a small spatula.
Yankee Candle Advent Calendar
This Christmas, I am counting down with this gorgeous Red Apple Wreath advent calendar from the Yankee Candle. I’m looking forward to opening each door to reveal a tea light candle in one of six seasonal scents and there is an extra special treat on the 24th. In order to show you what is inside this box, I opened the top which revealed 25 tea light candles. Each candle comes in a transparent holder with six different aromas of Snow In Love, Balsam & Cedar, Merry Marshmallow, Red Apple Wreath, Snowflake Cookie and Sparkling Cinnamon. Each candle will burn in 4 – 6 hours time so make sure to place them somewhere safe.

Oak Phone Stand Review
This Christmas, why not get something that is personalised and useful as a gift to make an enduring memory to your loved one. Perhaps, an iPhone stand, a chopping board or maybe a wine rack made from oak. The Oak and Rope company has kindly personalised the Oak Phone Stand with my first initial E on the stand. On the top is the power symbol which can be left blank if you wish too. The gap for the phone rest is about 2 cm by 2 cm and the whole unit is 9.8 cm by 9.8 cm by 4.2 cm. This phone stand is suitable for iPhones as the charger lead integrates neatly underneath, but can of course house any modern phone. I used it for my own Samsung phone which sits very nicely and I can plug in the charger. It can also used to stand other devices or books etc. Of course, if the item is too heavy, it will tip over. This is a very affordable personalised gift that your family and friends will appreciate.

Brother Max Digital Non-Contact Thermometer Review
While I was pregnant with my first child, I bought a digital ear thermometer as I know it is always handy. I used to be a nurse and I know how important it is to have your own thermometer to help monitor your children’s temperature when they are ill. It helps you make an informed decision on whether to give your children medicine or if they are more serious, take them to the hospital. After owning a digital ear thermometer for years, I was very pleased that Brother Max has a Non-Contact Thermometer which lets you take your little ones temperature quickly and accurately, without needing to disturb them.
BullGuard Identity Protection
Do you ever worry about the risk of identity theft and financial fraud? Fortunately I have not been affected yet but you hear of stories all the time. It can take weeks before the bank refunds your money back and credit ratings can be negatively impacted too.
