Letter Q was quite a tricky one for Summer Activities! This is what we did together.
Q for Quail egg
We brought them to a local farm shop and showed them the different types of eggs and their sizes.
Q for Quadrangle
We learnt the shape of a quadrangle. A quadrangle is a polygon with four sides and four angles. So I got my children to draw shapes that have four corners.
Q for Quack
Get the children to do a quack race! Line them up and start quacking!
Q for Queen’s Crown
This is a very simple craft. You need a paper plate, scissors, pen knife, glue, stapler, double sided tape, glitter and jewellery. Take a look at this Easter Bonnet hat blog post for more details.
Q for Mr Quiet
We read a story about Mr Quiet who was so quiet that no one can hear him. He is so upset and couldn’t find a job. But with Mr Happy’s help, he finds a job that is suitable for him! A librarian! Read here for the whole list of Mr Men.
Q for Quilt
For this craft, draw the q shape and get the kids to paste the coloured paper onto the shape. It will look like a quilt blanket craft!
