Ideas to Bring Your Home To Life

29 August 2018 by Eileen

Everyone wants to live in a beautiful space that resonates with them, but not everyone knows how to create a home that speaks to them. It is important to take your time choosing the right item or idea to bring your home to life! Whatever you choose, I hope this article will provide you with ideas that you think will suit you and your home.

Ideas to Bring Your Home To Life

1. Create A Wall Story

Creating a wall story can be a fabulous addition to bring style and personality to your home. It is an opportunity to display your most treasured pieces of art, photos of your loved ones, posters, and anything else you see fit.

It can look uniform, or it can be a little more assorted in style. Take your time to find the pieces you would like to include, and then practice the way you are going to lay them out on the floor before making holes in your wall. If you accidentally make the wrong holes, you can always hide it behind a bigger artwork/photo frame!

2. Have A Wall Mural

Why not transform your home with a made-to-measure wall mural from Wallsauce.com! You can have a wall mural created from your very own photo to illustrated wallpaper murals, you will definitely find a design that suits your style.

3. Choose The Right Mirrors For The Room

If you have a small or dull room, why not brighten it up by using mirrors. Mirrors can be a great addition when placed strategically, as they help to reflect light and space around a room. They can make a tiny room appear much larger, and if you choose the right style, they can make it appear more luxurious too. If your room is missing a window, then get a mirror with light that is shaped like a window to create the look! Don’t be afraid to fill up a wall with your mirrors otherwise it can be detrimental to the way it looks as a whole!

4. Metallic Accessories

Metallic accessories are just perfect for adding a little more texture to your home, and they can complement certain decor styles perfectly. Personally, I love the use of copper accessories! This amazing colour just looks right at home no matter what kind of accessories they are!

Incorporating metallic accessories like rugs, throws, cushions, plant pots, and anything else you can think of will instantly make it look more interesting and professionally put together. Do bear in mind to find a good balance though. Too many accessories can be just as bad as not having enough.

5. Add Plants And Flowers

Bring the outdoors inside with the use of plants and flowers! They incorporate natural colours and textures, and make your home smell great too. Don’t just bring in one bunch of flowers or plant, either. Remember always have a good balance! So bring in multiple plants and layer them to bring lots of texture and greenery to a room.

Which of these ideas will you use to bring your home to life? Do let me know or comment on any of your own tips. Everyone deserves to live in a space that they absolutely love, so take the time to transform yours now.
