Nerf Assembler Gear Hulk Review

13 April 2018 by Eileen

Hasbro has recently launched an awesome range of Marvel Avengers Infinity War toys for fans, just in time for the film which will be arriving in our cinemas on 26th April 2018! The new Avenger themed blasters are part of a new series, known as Nerf Assembler Gear, which is very similar to Nerf Modulus Regulator’s concept. By building up your collections, you can customise and create your ultimate blaster for any mission or battle.

Nerf Assembler Gear Hulk Review

There are Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Spider, Star-Lord and Hulk blasters to collect and all attachments can be joined together in a variety of over 100 combinations! Whilst each Assembler Gear blaster is unique in shape, colour and size, they all seem to function as single shot blasters which is a little bit disappointing.

Anyway, we were lucky to receive the Hulk blaster! My son is a big fan of Marvel collectables and Nerf blasters. In fact, he owns a number of Nerf ranges – he was ecstatic! Check out this video made by Mr K where he shows off a few variations. https://youtu.be/r5BeOGg5FRU

This Assembler Gear comes with a gauntlet, three connectors, three Elite darts and instructions. It is suitable for aged five and above. It requires no batteries at all. So once you have built your blaster, simply load your dart, pull the lever to cock the blaster and then press the green trigger on the top to fire.

As I mentioned earlier, it only allows one dart at a time. Also if you place your extension connector on the front of your blaster body (see photo below), you will have to remove it to reload your dart into the blaster body. It does sound very hard work, just for one dart! Personally, I wouldn’t create this combination.

Mr K loves the combination where you use the blaster to punch! It gives him an extension to punch the bad guys! What I like about this finger connector is that it is not entirely made from hard plastic. The finger connector has purple fingers that look like soft silicon materials.

This Nerf Assembler Gear blaster is well-made, great for role play and will be loved by fans! Mr K did find it hard to place the connectors smoothly but overall I find it quite easy once you get the hang of it! You can get this from good toy retailers and online. Here are the links from Amazon:

  • Iron Man
  • Star-Lord
