Nerf fan alert! Have you seen this brand new N-Strike Elite AccuStrike RaptorStrike? Nerf have done it again by making another awesome blaster for their fans! This blaster is part of the AccuStrike Series, which features darts designed for greater accuracy. This blaster is perfect for indoor and outdoor Nerf battles with your family and friends. This has to be one of the best of all their non-motorised blasters!
This bolt-action blaster comes with two 6-dart clips, 18 darts and extendable bipod. Best of all, it does not require batteries and minimal assembly. I did nearly throw the bolt into the recycle bin as it was behind the cardboard box lid. Luckily, my son picked it up and had a quick look at it. Without it, it definitely won’t work! Place the bolt into the blaster and next load your clip and you are good to go. Of course, you can use the bipod to give you a lift. The bipod is adjustable to two heights and it can be folded away. It also comes with a pop up sight for targeting.
It did take us a long time to figure out how to remove the clip from the blaster and each time, we came up with a different way. I think it took us nearly 5 minutes to work it out! A couple of times, my son put the bullets in the wrong direction even though it was clearly shown on the clip. It is quite simple to unload the clip. You need to pull the bolt towards you, push the front trigger and wiggle the clip off. Each time after you shoot, you have to pull the bolt towards you. It is quite a straightforward action. Sometime I do wish they made a longer clip to store more darts! It gets quite annoying to keep having to change the clip.
Anyway, if you have any problems with the blaster, these are the troubleshoot tips:
- If you can’t pull the bolt back, first pull the trigger to see if that unlocks the bolt. If the bolt still doesn’t move, press and hold the reset button and pull the bolt all the way back.
- If the bolt is locked halfway along the slot, pull the trigger then press and hold the bolt release and pull the bolt all the way back.
- If the blaster appears jammed, pull the bolt towards you and remove the clips. Open the access door and remove any jammed darts.
We all enjoy playing with this RaptorStrike blaster even though it is so long and huge (height 35.6 cm, width 96.5 cm, diameter 7.3 cm). This blaster gives you so much control and allows you to shoot more accurately. The blaster is quite solid and well made. We all love RaptorStrike especially as does not require batteries and would definitely recommend it. It is available to buy from good toy retailers and Amazon.
