Nerf N-Strike Elite Rukkus ICS-8 Blaster Review

1 March 2019 by Eileen

The long wait is finally over! This Nerf N-Strike Elite Rukkus ICS-8 blaster is another great addition for any Nerf fans and this unseasonably warm weather means we can engage in a friendly battle under the winter sun.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Rukkus ICS-8 Blaster Review

This blaster is part of the N-Strike Elite series, which features pump-action to launch from the 8-dart clip that automatically indexes to the next dart. This is another one of their best non-motorised blasters! It is suitable for aged eight and above.

At first, I was a bit unsure how it works as the clip doesn’t come off, but then I realised that the clip stays attached to the blaster. This is to make it fast and easy to reload and so that players can insert more darts without removing the clip.

This blaster is well made and chunky yet it is quite lightweight and easy to hold. We have owned a number of Nerf blasters and they have never failed us. The blaster is always so powerful and easy to pump to prime. My children are able to handle and shoot well with it. We do love the accuracy and distance of the darts.

Each time you want to launch the dart, your blaster needs to be primed by moving the black grip all the way back then all the way forwards. The pump action and the sound it makes it more authentic. Yes, it does get quite tiring after some time and you also have to manually load each individual dart into the clip, but this adds to the appeal and it means you don’t waste all your darts in one go!

We enjoy playing with this blaster especially as it does not require batteries! It is well made and provides an accurate and smooth shot, perfect for indoor and outdoor Nerf battles with your family and friends. It is available to buy from good toy stores, online and Amazon.
