Today is the fourth day which is the letter D. We didn’t do many activities for D as we went out for a play-date. So these are our letter Ds:
D for play Date
We arranged a play date with our usual gangs and went to A’s house. While some of the children played in the paddling pool, Ms C played Dino Bites with us as she was not keen on the paddling pool.
D for Draw and Dinosaur
I taught them both a new word: Dinosaur. I then asked them to draw a dinosaur. At the same time, I bought out two books we had reviewed earlier this year called Dino Supersaurus from Parragon to do more colouring and to read about it.
At bedtime, they had a read on their iPad: Jonty – The Dinosaur Who Could Not Go to Sleep and a book about Three Little Dinosaurs.
D for Dog, Donkey & Duck
We had passed by a nearby park and spotted dogs, a donkey and we fed the ducks at the pond.
D for Doughnuts
I bought a packet of Doughnuts from Tesco for our afternoon treat!
D for How To Train A Dragon 2
On Monday, we went to watch the movie of How To Train A Dragon 2. Both children absolutely loved it. There were quite a lot of fighting scenes and flying dragons that enthralled both of my children. I would recommend it.
D for DVD
After coming home from the play date, I let them watch Harry and His Buckets Full of Dinosaurs while I prepared dinner.
Look out for our letter E tomorrow!
