Last week, I was so excited when I opened up a very well packed green envelope. Inside the envelope, there were two new books from Parragon. The book covers and the illustrations are fantastic! The humorous comic strips are written by Andrew Davidson and illustrations are from Tim Wesson and Nikalas Catlow. I love the theme of the book. They are called the Dino Supersaurus. It is a fresh new series of super-powered activity books and gift sets for aged 6 to 12.
This is set in the fictional land ’New Dino City’, the Dino Supersaurus series follows four young dinosaurs (Trix, Steg, Terra and Doc) who all got hit by the radioactive meteorite and the meteor gave them special powers. Now their mission is to save their New Dino City from T-Rex and the evil sinistaurs.
The Dino Supersaurus range includes:
- 2000 Stickers
- Superpower Colouring
- Doodlesaurus Book
- Stickersaurus
They are available to buy now from Debenhams, WHSmith, Sainsbury’s, Toys R Us, Amazon and more. The price ranges from £3.99 to £14.99.
We have received the Superpower Colouring (RRP £3.99) and Stickeraurus (RRP £3.99). The Superpower Colouring book is not just a colouring book, in fact, it is a proper comic strip book with plenty of colouring in characters and activities to do. This book also comes with a flick book! Mr K found it very interesting. He had not seen this type of flick book before. By flicking the book, he sees the action between Trix defeating the evil sinistaurs T-Rex! I love these books as they are so unique and from other colouring/activities book!
The Stickeraurus is a book that opens out into 7 giant story scenes showing the streets, cityscape and skies of New Dino City. There are over 80 stickers which can be found in the middle of the book to use. It also come with a stretchy dinosaur Doc! This stretchy dino Doc can be stretched quite far. This book is the introduction of the four young dinosaurs’ stories and how they stop T-Rex from rampaging the city! Mr K loves the colourful illustration and enjoyed pasting the stickers to create his own scenes.
This is a very interesting concept and unique range of children book. I believe it will be enjoyed by many children. The price is reasonable and I would highly recommend to give them a try.
Do look out for their activity case in June 2014 and Build and Play boxset in August 2014.
Disclosure: I received this book from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site.
