CLIF Builder’s® Protein Bars Review

9 March 2014 by Eileen 110 Comments

Mr C loves playing badminton and goes twice a week.  Sometimes he doesn’t have time to have a proper meal before his matches.  So he normally keeps a selection of energy and protein bars in his exercise bag for a boost on the go.

This week, Mr C tried the Chocolate CLIF Builder’s® Protein Bars:

Builder's Protein Bar review

The chocolate flavour is nice and although it’s sweet, it’s not as sweet as other protein bars I’ve tried.  It’s a nice size at 68g and is crispy and flavoursome.  Reading the info, this bar contains 20g of protein, to help aid the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, and Vitamin B6 to help contribute to normal protein and glycogen metabolism.  They are free from hydrogenated oils and sugar alcohols.

It come in three deliciously tasty flavours; Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mint, CLIF Builder’s® has an RRP of just £2.35 per bar.  They are available in major UK retailers including Tesco Extra stores and Boots.  Also suitable for vegans and certified kosher.

The bars are formulated to optimise balanced nutrition and containing healthy and natural ingredients like organic oat fibre, nuts, cocoa, peanut butter and organic soy protein. This is definitely a great choice for any fitness pro and they are inexpensive.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
