LEGO Star Wars™ Advent Calendar Review

9 March 2014 by Eileen

This year LEGO Star Wars™ franchise is celebrating its 15th year and in 2013, there was a total of 323 LEGO Star Wars™ sets that had been created in the last 14 years.  From 1999 to the end of 2013, a whopping total of 197,935,710 LEGO Star Wars™ products have been sold.  In 2013, more than 15.84 million LEGO Star Wars sets were sold worldwide.  That is on average: 43,397 boxes per day, 1,808 boxes per hour, 30.1 boxes per minute, every day, around the world

We have received this LEGO Star Wars™ 2013 Advent Calendar for review.  I know that this is very last year but it means you might not find them in anywhere else!

Lego Star Wars advent calendar

Inside this set, it comes with 24 LEGO:

  • Geonosian Pilot
  • Endor Rebel Trooper
  • Boba Fett
  • Battle Droid
  • R5-F7
  • Scout Trooper
  • Jango Fett
  • Republic Gunship
  • Count Dooku’s Solar Sailer
  • Slave I
  • Jetpack-powered Sleigh
  • Padmé’s Naboo Star Skiff
  • Separatist Shuttle
  • Weapon Rack
  • FA-4
  • Geonosian Fighter
  • Koro-2 Exodrive airspeeder
  • Dropship
  • Weapon Rack for Gun
  • Clone Trooper
  • Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter
  • Republic Assault Ship
  • Cloud Car
  • AT-TE

My son adores this set and has been really creative with it in designing various fight scenes.  We had a 2012 advent calendar and so far there is just one repeat: Star Destroyer.  With this set, he can now create even bigger intergalactic environments for them!

We are a big fan of LEGO and Mr K is capable of building it himself, though now and again, he does require my help.  I do love building LEGO and have been spotted on occasion hiding away to build it myself!  I do think that this set is overpriced but I will definitely get it again this year when it is on sale.

Recently, we had also review the LEGO High speed police chase set and we even made up our storyline, do check it out.

If your children love Lego Star Wars, then you should read The Brick Castle‘s post where there is a competition for children to design their own dream LEGO Star Wars bedroom.  Do check them out.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
