Deadly Factbook: Jaws and Claws

July 28, 2014 by Eileen 1 Comment

Deadly Factbook: Jaws and Claws is Steve Backshall’s sixth factbook and it is illustrated throughout with full colour photographs and artwork. It was released on 17 July 2014 and published by Orion Books.

deadly factbook jaws and claws reviewThe book is paperback containing about 80 pages in total and there are four different chapters – including Toothy Terrors; Special Adaptations; Deadly Hunters; and Tusks, Teeth & Talons featuring over 50 deadly wild animals and insects.

This book is great for children aged 9 and over as it describes each individual animal in simple plain English. There is a good amount of detail on the features such as jaws, teeth, claws and talons of the wild animals. Its full colour photographs make the book very eye-catching and interesting.

deadly factbook jaws and claw steve reviewMr K enjoys reading it but sometimes he needs us to explain in more detail words like coral, sea urchins etc. There are so many things he can learn from this book.

I would recommend this book to any young adventurers. It is a lovely book.

Disclosure: We have received this book to do an honest review.
