Justin’s World Goldilocks & Letter Sounds

15 September 2013 by Eileen 1 Comment

Many parents will know Britain’s best-loved children’s entertainer Justin Fletcher MBE, – also known as Mr Tumble!  Last week, I reviewed Justin’s World Jigsongs app.  In that review, I also mentioned that he has launched three more apps which are Goldilocks; Letter Sounds and Animal Sounds.
Goldilocks is one of the most well-known children’s stories about a little girl and three bears.  This is an excellent interactive ebook!  Both of my children were hooked and they spent at least 10 minutes on it.  The storyline is more or less the same as the original book.
But what make this ebook so interesting are: There are a few mini games in it where they have to clear away leaves, put back books and tidy up the house etc.  Ms C is so keen to get the room sparkling clean!  There is also a small puzzle to do.  All characters are played by Justin himself as usual.  The animations and illustrations are excellent!
This app costs £2.99 to download which is very reasonable as you are getting an ebook and mini games within it.  This is a very engaging ebook and I would high recommend it for pre-school children.
The next app that I have reviewed is Letter Sounds. This is a very simple app with 8 letters: s, i, p, m, a, t, d and n.  Pick any letters and Justin teaches the phonics sound.  Then it allows the child to join in with them by selecting the letters to complete the word and choosing pictures that makes the sound.  This app is quite limited as there are only 8 letters to learn but it is very well explained and simple for a child to understand.  I would suggest this app for younger pre-school children.
Overall, Justin’s World has four fantastic apps for pre-school children where Animal Sounds is free.  Check them out!
Disclosure:We were given two free codes to download to do this honest review.
