This week, they sent my son to try Tae Kwon Do in King Edward VI Leisure Centre. We were greeted by their lovely members and Mr K was initially quite overwhelmed. He was quite shy and did not want to join in the warm up. After observering for a few minutes, he soon joined in the group.
As it happened, the regular instructor was unable to make it and Mr K was taught one-on-one by another member. He was very patient and taught him the basic skills. To be honest, I have no clue what are they called but it looked like they were chopping a tree. Later, he joined in the white belt/beginner group where he was taught by another team member. This time around there were two other learners. They were taught the moves and practised it on each other.
The last 15 minutes was a non-contact sparring practise where half of the members were faced against the other half in a row. He was well looked after by the members. Overall, Mr K enjoyed his lesson and would love to try again. I would like to thank to Cravendale and Lichfield Tae Kwon Do for giving Mr K a chance to try it out.
