Last Wednesday, I was invited to a secret location for the Argos Christmas events in July. This was a chance for a sneak preview of their Christmas gift guide for her, for him, teens, kids, the little ones, the home, stocking fillers and the top 12 Christmas toys which I had blogged early this week.
My children were so lucky to have the chance to play the new PS4 before their dad. Indeed he was so jealous when Mr K told him all about it. While Mr K was busy launching aliens from the PS4 controller, Ms C used the tablet (most tablets will work with the PS4 apparently) to draw a circle or throw a soccer ball out into the screen for the aliens to play. They were so in love with this new PS4 which will be launched around October time.
Mr K also got the first hand chance to play with the Skylander SWAP Force! They are awesome! I love the idea that you can swap the top/body around and create a totally different Skylander. If anyone is heading to Camp Bestival this coming Thursday, they will also get the chance to try it out! Look out for that!
Besides that, we also had a peek at the top Christmas toys and one of them is the Flying Fairy by Futterbye. We were fortunate to receive it for review independently of this Argos even – please click here to read more about her. This is the rest of the list: the new Furby which is available in October; Sesame Street Elmo Hugs; Monopoly Empire; Leapfrog Leappad-Ultra; Lego Friends Dolphin Crusier; Teksta Dog; Sofia The First Talking Sophia, Planes Wing Control Dusty, VTech InnoTab, Nerf Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 and Lego Star Wars R2D2.
This event has helped opened my eyes to the world of toys and now I have a fair idea what to choose for my children when the time is near. Thanks to Markettiers4dc and Argos for giving me this opportunity to have a look around the event.
Disclosure: We were not compensated to attend/blog about the event.
