This is my second challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Valentine’s Day. I have received a crafting box packed with hearts, jewels and red papers. I decided to make a Valentine’s Day hanging hearts decoration for my husband with my children’s help. Before I made this, I printed out our family photo and stuck it on a firm red card before cutting a heart shape.
This Valentine’s day, why not try to bake your own meringues, pavlova or roulade for your loved one instead! It is cheap as it requires minimal ingredients and it is delicious! However, do allow plenty of baking and cooling time.
I am so delighted to receive three different natural flavoured white icing sugars from Sugar and Crumbs to try. They are Pink Lemonade, Chocolate Milkshake and Banana Split. They come in a 250g resealable bag which is very handy for storage.
Over the past week, I had been using the icing sugars to bake pink lemonade with almond meringue, chocolate milkshake meringue with white chocolate and banana heart-shaped pavlova.
This week, I have been quite busy making Valentines Day things with my kids and I came across a video post on facebook to make a rose bun.
Valentines Day is approaching soon. Instead of buying an expensive gift to Mr C, I decided to make him a jelly heart as a treat! I bought the jelly mixture from a Chinese supermarket. It is called agar agar and is slightly firmer than other jellies which is good with moulding and cutting. I also bought a pack of heart shaped cookie cutters.
