Haw Par Villa Hell’s Museum

We are nearly at the end of the seventh month of the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival with the last day on the 26th of August. If you are in an Asian country, do check out the list of don’t dos during this festival and the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival that I wrote a while ago.

Recently, I took my children to visit one of my childhood parks – Haw Par Villa in Singapore. The last time I went was with my third aunty and cousins 30 years ago. I still remember that every child would have to take a photo with Confucius, hoping we will show humaneness, righteousness and filial. Needless to say, my modern children did not believe in this.

What to Pack for a Theme Park

As is often the case for when I go to a theme park, I forgot to pack at least one or two essential items for our trip! It is never been a spontaneous day trip and yet I am not packing the essentials to make the most of my day worry free! Hence I am writing this blog to remind myself in future and also to share my tips with my readers on what to pack for theme parks!

The Walking Dead mazes open at Thorpe Park

Two new exclusives for 2017 are themed around The Walking Dead mazes, to mark the launch of the Thorpe Park’s annual ‘Fright Nights’ season which had started on 29^th September 2017. Have you been yet? Unfortunately, we are not able to make it this time but wanted to share this news to my fellow readers!

Thorpe Park Resort Island Ambassador 2017

We are proud to be a Thorpe Park Resort Island Ambassador for 2017 and can’t wait to visit the park soon! Thorpe Park Resort has opened their doors to the public now until 1st November 2017. Amity Beach will be open from 1st May 2017 onwards. The park is situated between the towns of Chertsey and Staines, Surrey and with over 30 rides and attractions all within 20 miles of Central London. Thorpe Park is a member of Merlin.

A Weekend at Disneyland Paris

It is not very often we get invited to such an awesome place as Disneyland Paris and to meet Disney Ambassadors Paula Radcliffe MBE and Paralympic winner, Michäel Jérémiasz from France at runDisney France! If you have not seen my earlier posts about the event, do check out my post about it.

Drayton Manor Magical Christmas 2016

Drayton Manor, home of Europe’s only Thomas Land™ has officially opened its popular magical winter wonderland Christmas event with fireworks until 31^st December 2016! This was our third time visiting their Magical Christmas event and this was probably our favourite visit yet!

Explorer Glamping at Chessington World of Adventures

Chessington World of Adventures Resort’s Explorer Glamping is opening to the public on the 27^th May 2016 and includes 35 permanent tents! There are 31 round ‘Glamping’ tents comprising of one double bed and two singles which are able to sleep four. There are also four premium ‘Amboseli Tents’ with a double bed, and separate second sleeping area with three single beds and additional living space.

Magical Christmas at Drayton Manor Theme Park 2015

Drayton Manor, home of Europe’s only Thomas Land™ has officially opened its popular magical winter wonderland Christmas event with fireworks! Following Thomas Land’s £2.5 million expansion in the spring, this year’s Magical Christmas promises to be bigger and better than ever, with over 25 rides and attractions to enjoy, such as new arrivals Flynn the Fire Engine and Captain’s Sea Adventure.

Drayton Manor Theme Park 2015

We love visiting Drayton Manor Theme Park as it is only 20 minutes away from our home. It is well signposted and easy to access. Last week, we went in quite late in the morning and we were parked on the other side of the park. We hadn’t parked over the other entrance before but it is great that no matter how far we seemed to park our car, we are still very near to the park.

Drayton Manor Theme Park is just ‘a stones throw away’ for us. Living so close to the park, we have become quite a regular visitor! We have seen so much many changes and improvements over the years which keeps us going back again and again.

CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort

CBeebies Land opened at Alton Towers resort on 24th May and it include rides, immersive play areas, live experiences and character appearances and will be a fun and safe environment for preschoolers to play and learn!

Can you guess who’s song is that? Of course it is Thomas & Friends! Today, we were very lucky to get invited to visit Drayton Manor Park which is the home of Thomas Land! It is near Tamworth and very well sign posted. The sat nav might take you to the wrong entrance, so be careful, as there is a big sign written no access to Drayton Manor Park. There are a lot of parking spaces and costs £3 for parking. We have been here before and I had blogged about our experience which you can read here.

We went to Wonderland!

Last month, Mr C bought a deal through Groupon for a family ticket to Wonderland. We are only 45 minutes drive away from Telford and he decided to buy it. My first impression is that everything is quite dated and needing a facelift. Most of the rides are free and suitable for younger children as they are quite gentle. It is quite a small park and we completed the park with rides within one hour.

Dudley Zoo is a zoo with hundreds of animals set around an 11th century castle incorporating the world’s largest single collection of Tecton buildings and the country’s only vintage chairlift – all sited on a 40-acre wooded hillside with a rich geological history.

This morning was such a gorgeous day. We set off from Lichfield which took us 50 minutes to reach the Zoo. The car park is just next to the Zoo but there is quite a walk if you come late. The fee is £3.50 per day which is quite reasonable.
