Thorpe Park Review

2 August 2014 by Eileen

At the moment, The Sun is running a promotion where if you sign up to Sun+, you can claim free tickets to Thorpe Park worth £99.98! Of course there is a minimal investment of £1 (first month) and then £8.67 (second month). As a Sun+ member you will also enjoy money-saving deals with Sun+ Perks and more free tickets with SUPERDAYS, including Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland Windsor Resort and Thorpe Park.

To help promote this offer, we were given a family day out to Thorpe Park courtesy of The Sun. We were all very excited and set off early in the morning to drive 2 hours down to the resort with gorgeous weather! This is our first time visiting Thorpe Park with our children.

When we arrived at the park, there are plenty of marshals guiding us to park at the right place. Walking through the ticketing area and into the park, there is a huge indoor area with food, shops and arcade. As we walked through the building and into the main park, the first thing you arrive at is the man-made Neptune beach. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring any swimwear along so we decided to go to the newly open Angry Bird land.

Thorpe Park review

The whole Angry Bird land is beautifully decorated to the Angry Bird theme. Unfortunately due to the height restrictions, Ms C was unable to go onto quite a lot of rides (she only measures 89 cm) as a lot of rides have a minimum of 90 cm or more, like the bumper car, tea cups and many thrill rides. We did enjoy the Angry Bird 4D experience and it is worth queuing for.

Next we went and explored around the park. Again, there are plenty of thrill rides that are not suitable for my young children. So we went on the more gentle family friendly rides like the carousel, banana ride etc.

The Sun is running a fun social campaign, relevant to parents nationwide called #Sunfessions, which is all about entertaining stories and harmless white lies we have told our children.

My #Sunfession is that if the children don’t eat their meat and vegetables, they won’t grow taller.

Today 2nd August, tickets to Thorpe Park will be available through the Sun+ membership. To support the #Sunfession campaign, I also have £250 to give away to my lovely followers to spend at Thorpe Park. All you need to do is log in to your Twitter or Instagram account and retell an entertaining story or harmless white lie you have told your children. Don’t forget to include #Sunfession AND #ETspeaksfromhome. Hit tweet, and then visit the Sun site to see your #Sunfession appear: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sunfessions

Disclosure: We were compensated to visit Thorpe Park for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
