The Walking Dead mazes open at Thorpe Park

14 October 2017 by Eileen

Two new exclusives for 2017 are themed around The Walking Dead mazes, to mark the launch of the Thorpe Park’s annual ‘Fright Nights’ season which had started on 29th September 2017. Have you been yet? Unfortunately, we are not able to make it this time but wanted to share this news to my fellow readers!

Walking Dead mazes open at Thorpe Park

Before I tell you more about these, let me tell you about their opening hours. Thorpe Park Resort will be open on these dates between 10am – 10pm. They are Friday 13th October – Monday 16th October and Friday 20th October – Tuesday 31st October. Fright Nights starts from 3pm on most days and half-term mazes will be open from 12 noon.

The indoor maze called The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare will see visitors experience terrifying iconic scenes of the global phenomenon, including the world’s first live attraction featuring scenes from season seven. They will join other survivors on the brink of death at the mercy of the notorious Negan. Scenarios will include experiences of the hospital from season one through to a double storey prison inspired by seasons three and four of the global television phenomenon seen in the UK on FOX.

In The Walking Dead: Sanctum, guests will experience a live-action outdoor maze like no other that pays tribute to Terminus, the safe-haven with a twist. Visitors will begin their journeys following in the footsteps of survivors, experiencing first-hand how to stay alive in the face of several obstacles placed in their paths. The aim is to navigate past the roaming walkers or risk being captured.

To celebrate the launch of the two new attractions, Thorpe Park Resort is also unveiling a special Terminus Burger inspired by the series, made from pork, turkey and blood clot relish, which will be available on select dates throughout Fright Nights.

The mazes coincide with the premiere of The Walking Dead Season 8 on 23rd October at 9pm on FOX and the landmark 100th episode. There are other mazes returning for 2017 include: SAW Alive, Big Top and Platform 15.
