Last weekend, we had the most amazing experience to be involved with runDisney Paris. This will be their second year of running this runDisney Paris event. Also, to mark the 25th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, they are guaranteeing a varied fun-filled programme of events for The Half-Marathon Weekend in Val d’Europe, from 21st to 24th September 2017.
I was delighted to meet their runDisney Paris ambassadors, our British National Heroine, MBE Paula Radcliffe and Paralympic winner, Michäel Jérémiasz from France. They will be joining the thousands of runners participating in this thrilling event in the Disney® Parks.
You might think that you need to be fit to enter this but you don’t have to be. As someone who doesn’t do much exercise, last Sunday, I was so pleased that I managed to complete my 5 km run with these two awesome ambassadors and other influencers. We managed to enjoy the park all by ourselves with the undisturbed views. I must admit that I was so tired and breathless during the run but I feel totally awesome that I managed to get to the finish line. This is definitely an event I would love to run with my family. It’s a great opportunity for Disney fans to have fun along with their family and friends.
I hope that I managed to get you interested in this event by giving you the ‘inside track’ of the run. The first run, Disneyland® Paris 5K will start on the evening of Friday 22nd September. It is a fun run through Walt Disney Studios® Park, cheered on by Disney Characters. This is an adventure to be experienced as a family or amongst friends, regardless of your fitness level. Also not to be missed on the same evening, there will be a private opening party in the Walt Disney Studios Park with rides open, a great chance to meet some Disney Characters and a DJ party!
Then on Saturday 23rd September, it is the brand new Disneyland® Paris 10K for aged 14 and above. It is a new opportunity to enjoy running in a magical setting and in the presence of Disney Characters. Also on the same day at 11am, there are races for children under 12 years of age: 100 metres (aged 1 – 3), 200 metres (aged 4 – 7) and 1 km (aged 8 – 12).
Finally on Sunday 24th September, it is the Disneyland® Paris – Val d’Europe Half-Marathon. This takes place through the Disney Parks and the neighbouring area of Val d’Europe. This is for aged 18 onwards.
They will also have runDisney Health & Wellness Expo exhibition which is entirely dedicated to sport and wellness and it open its doors at the Disney Events Arena (Disney Village®) from Thursday 21st September to Sunday 24th September.
The Disneyland® Paris – Val d’Europe Half-Marathon Weekend 2017 is just one of the unmissable events celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris. It is a fun and unforgettable event for all ages and fitness levels! I do recommend you check it out to join in the fun along with your family and friends.
