Make More Space In Your Bedroom With These Tips

Our bedrooms are a place we spend a lot of time. Whether you sleep in there, read, or get ready, the bedroom is a space we would all love to be bigger and more convenient. Although you may not easily be able to change the size of your room, you can maximize its space. Those looking for ways to make more room in the bedroom for extra comfort and convenience, follow this guide.

Make More Space In Your Bedroom With These Tips

4 Simple Ways To Maximize Your Bedroom Space

Whether you have a large or a small bedroom, there are always times when you wish you had some extra space. People accumulate more things than we need, and the bedroom is often the place where we leave things to pile up. If you want to maximize your bedroom space without having to part with everything, then here are four simple ways to accomplish that.

4 Simple Ways To Maximize Your Bedroom Space

Making The Most Of A Tiny Bedroom

Small bedrooms have their advantages. They discourage clutter, they’re easy to clean and they can give off a cozy feel that larger bedrooms can sometimes lack.

However, there are other times when they can feel utterly claustrophobic and impractical. If you spend most of your time in your bedroom, you could feel as if you’re sometimes living in a cell. The bed is likely to dominate the room, leaving very little space for anything else. Attempt to add in a wardrobe or a desk and you might end up with no space to stand.

Revamping Kids’ Bedrooms with DreamTex

It has been a while since we last updated our kid’s bedrooms with new bedding. Since we moved to our new home, we’ve been very busy sorting out the rest of the house and have neglected their bedrooms.

I can’t remember when we last bought them new bedding. These past two years have been a busy one, from putting our house on the market to selling it, from renting to buying a house. It has been one thing to another thing in life! Also not forgetting, we had to prepare my son for his grammar examination and to find a house near his new school.

Updating their rooms have been the last thing on our minds. So we were super delighted when DreamTex offered a helping hand to turn our kid’s bedrooms into a very exciting bedroom. If they sleep better in their cosy beddings, they will feel happier.

Making Your Bedroom Extra Cosy For The Winter

Summer has been amazing, but it is starting to wave it’s finally goodbyes for the year and soon we will be back in autumn and in winter. The colder seasons of the year are many people’s favourites because they are super cosy, you have an excuse to hibernate in the house and you get to wear all of those super comfy jumpers once more. During the summer you likely stripped out a lot of the bedroom to make it manageable for sleep, but now it is time to bring back that warmth and have some fun with the space. Here are our top ways to make the bedroom super cosy this winter.

4 kids bedroom updates that require minimal effort

4 kids bedroom updates that require minimal effort

It’s summer, which means that many of us don’t really fancy spending the time we have with our families painting walls, sifting through piles of broken toys or trying to construct furniture. However, many of us don’t have much choice, as the longer days and cool nights are the only time we get to complete the tasks and finish the projects we’ve been putting off so far this year.

Kids grow out of their bedrooms quickly, whether they’ve fallen out of love with a particular cartoon character or simply have a new favourite colour, your kids room will go through many changes before they’re all grown up! So, with that in mind, here you’ll find some quick and easy kids bedroom updates that not only require minimal effort but won’t break the bank either.

Designing Your Child’s Bedroom

Decorating and designing your child’s bedroom can be tricky. For one thing, they could easily turn around not long after it is done and have completely different interests. How do you get around this and how exactly can you decorate their room in the first places. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Designing Your Child’s Bedroom

Three Ways of Revamping Bedroom

It has been three years since we last updated our bedroom. It is getting to the stage that the room feels dull and boring. A few years ago, we painted our walls with a gold colour and furnished it with a brown leather king size bed, white bedside drawers and red table lamps. To play it safe, we bought a white Egyptian cotton duvet set hoping to help the colours blend together.

Three years passed and it just feels rather plain now. So we were delighted when Yorkshire Linen offered a helping hand to be our wish-fairy and to help us to turn the ordinary into extra ordinary. If we sleep better, we will feel happier.

When you think about uplifting your bedroom mood, just remember these three ways of revamping your bedroom: duvet covers, bedspreads/bed sheets and cushion covers. They are the game changers for transforming any bedroom! They not only help to add colour in your life, they also add a wow factor too!

Taking time for myself

Madness always starts early in this household. Ms C (5 years old) is learning the art of the lie-in but Mr K (6 years old) is a consistent early riser. The time for myself is normally during school hours and after they sleep.

My usual routine is to finish the housework and prepare and cook lunch/dinner while listening to Chinese music from my favourite Singaporean radio station via an app on my iPad. Once finished, I can relax and will often chat on Facebook and Twitter. It can be random people from Twitter or my friends from Facebook for any gossip or news from England or back in Singapore.

TinyMe Personalised Items Review

A few weeks ago, I was invited to attend a dinner event with TinyMe. Before that, I had not heard of them before nor used their products. It was great that I was able to see their beautiful personalised products. It was really enjoyable night and it was great to meet some fellow bloggers. We were each given a voucher to spend on their website.

Practical Wardrobe Solutions for Smaller Bedrooms

Trying to fit a wardrobe into a smaller bedroom can be a very real problem. Wardrobes may provide you with the opportunity to amply store all of your clothes, shoes and other personal belongings, but they are also inherent space-stealers.

Have you put the heating back on yet?

Autumn is here and whilst I love the season for those cool, crisp, clear Autumn days, it also means it is time to dig out the warmer clothing and wrap up warm. At what point do you put your heating back on? One of our friends will target a date (e.g. 1st October) and stoically won’t budge until then. On the opposite side of the scale, some family members don’t really turn off their heating at all although they will have their thermostat set to about 22°C.
