Three Ways of Revamping Bedroom

23 July 2015 by Eileen

It has been three years since we last updated our bedroom. It is getting to the stage that the room feels dull and boring. A few years ago, we painted our walls with a gold colour and furnished it with a brown leather king size bed, white bedside drawers and red table lamps. To play it safe, we bought a white Egyptian cotton duvet set hoping to help the colours blend together.

Three Ways of Revamping Bedroom

Three years passed and it just feels rather plain now. So we were delighted when Yorkshire Linen offered a helping hand to be our wish-fairy and to help us to turn the ordinary into extra ordinary. If we sleep better, we will feel happier.

When you think about uplifting your bedroom mood, just remember these three ways of revamping your bedroom: duvet covers, bedspreads/bed sheets and cushion covers. They are the game changers for transforming any bedroom! They not only help to add colour in your life, they also add a wow factor too!

These are my three picks to revamp my dull bedroom!

  1. Duvet Covers: Do you dare to take a gamble with a bold pattern or stick with just a plain colour? The more risks you take, the bigger transformation your bedroom will be! Do choose the right colour to suit the background too! I have picked this bright Detroit red duvet. It is a bold choice I have made as I am very bored of my white linen. It is about time to change!
  2. Bedspreads/Bed Sheets: To get the best comfort for your sleep is to have more thread count on the sheets. I have chosen this Belledorm 540 thread count Hotel strips fitted sheet. This looks like a really top quality bed linen with a smooth and soft feel.
  3. Cushion Covers: If you choose plain duvet covers, you probably want to get bold colour cushion covers to uplift your room. I have already chosen a bold colour duvet cover, so I have picked this silk sequin silver cushion covers to give a calming effect. The cushion can also be use on dressing chairs or simply left on the bed.

The total cost of my three picks will have cost me just 6 pence less than £75. With a bold duvet cover, a comfy bedsheet and four cushion covers to go along with it, I think this is money well spent! What would be your top three picks be?

I love the red duvet cover. I think a new duvet cover can really change the whole look of a room.

Fab ideas. I always feel the room looks different with a new duvet cover
