For the last two months, we have been testing out these start-rite Mary Jane school shoes for Ms C to see how they fare. Have they stood up to the test? Have they been keeping Ms C comfortable and will they keep going into the new school year? Yes, it has and it should!

Dry Kids Waterproof Jacket Review
Dry Kids is an online retailer of bright and colourful children’s outdoor protective clothing that will appeal to many children and parents. Their garments are designed in the UK and specifically allow children to have plenty of freedom to move plus allow for a certain amount of layering of clothing beneath the outerwear, whilst being worn. They also have a good range of styles of protective clothing that are suitable from one to fourteen year olds.
Nutmeg – Morrisons Holiday Shop Range
Morrisons have unveiled their own brand Nutmeg summer holiday shop clothing range which is available to buy in store now. Have you seen it yet? Did you know that they have even launched their first ever women’s collection, and prices start from just £3?
Sportswear Outfits from Jacamo
Badminton is one of Mr C’s favourite sports. He plays regularly and so he often has to replace his sportswear. Mr C had a quick browse of the Jacamo website and they have a good selection of men’s sportswear with accessories, tops, bottoms and footwear. He finds the website easy to navigate and there is a lot of information for him to make an informed choice. Do note that some items are dispatch by Jacamo and some are dispatched directly from the supplier.
He quickly picked up these three sportswear items and he was pleased that they have his size in stock. Mr C has a small frame but sometimes he prefers to wear a slightly bigger size for a loose fit.
Hotter Shoes Event – Dew Shoes Review
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a Hotter Shoes event to check out their new season shoes and to learn more about their company. It is nice to know that they produce their own shoes in the UK! In fact, they are the UK’s biggest shoe manufacturer and make a pair of shoes every 20 seconds. They started off making slippers and then expanded to make shoes as comfortable as slippers.
I am no stranger to Hotter shoes. I have been wearing them since I was introduced to them two years ago. I have not looked back ever since. Their shoes are very lightweight and comfortable. Best of all, their shoes come in sizes 3-9, with half sizes and wide fit to help you find the perfect fit.
Showstopper Weekend with Simply Be
Need some showstopper weekend clothing for a dinner party or maybe a conference? Now is a good time to pack away our thick winter coats and to get out our spring dresses and heels. I have been checking out Simply Be’s spring collection to keep my wardrobe up to date with this season’s latest trends and styles.
In these upcoming months, I am going to a few friend’s 40th parties and I might attend a blogging conference or two. I am not a fashionista but I do love buying dresses as they are comfortable to wear and there are so many choices! I am so pleased to pick these two beautiful pink dresses for this season. Simply Be stock sizes 12 up to size 32. Sometimes I do struggle to find the larger sized clothing on other websites.
New Spring Collections with JD Williams
As spring draws nearer, it will soon be time to pack away those thick winter coats and to get out our spring dresses and heels out of the wardrobe. It is also a good time to keep your wardrobe up to date with this season’s latest trends and styles from JD Williams’ new collection.
Heelys From Skates Co Uk Review
Most parents of primary school children will have come across Heelys and in fact, at my children’s school, it seems like every child has a pair! They are the trainer style shoe with the skateboard-like wheel in the heel. They are an ingenious, cool looking skate-shoe that enables children to transform an ordinary walk into a much more lively and interesting journey altogether.
My Best First Date
What is my Best First Date? To celebrate this coming Valentine’s day, Mainline Menswear have collaborated with 85 designer brands to offer myself a chance of winning a massive £1250 worth of designer clothing for my husband to write about my best first date.
I’m not going to lie or make up stories about my perfect first date as I didn’t really have much personal experience in dating. My husband was my second first date and of course that was the best. I don’t say that because he will be reading this but he knows it is true anyway. This coming 3rd February is our 10th wedding anniversary and we have made special plans to celebrate it with our children.
boohoo Children Fashion Review
Shopping online couldn’t be easier with boohoo as they have everything under the roof! There are lady’s, men’s and children’s fashion! I do like to do a big shop in one go as it saves time in hopping to another website and delivery charges.
As both my children are growing up fast, they need more new clothing than Mr C and I. Looking through their range of children’s fashion, I decided to pick them a set of clothing for Christmas!
Mr K is not into Christmas jumpers or anything that is too festive. He prefers freestyle, so I opted for this white freestyle tee for him. The size is for age 9 to 10 years old which suits him well and very comfortable. The materials are soft to touch and after the first wash, it still looks great.
Thunderbirds Alan Tracy Costume
Thunderbirds Are Go! If your boys are into Thunderbirds, then they will love this Alan Tracy costume from Pretend to Bee. They are a family run business and have been retailing their range of dressing up costumes since 2005! Looking through their website, I found they have a great range of exciting children’s dress up clothing! From History costumes to Nativity costumes, Halloween to Christmas and from Dinosaur to Princess.

Back to School with Marks and Spencer
This summer, M&S is helping us to get ready for the back to school adventure! Did you know that M&S has been helping parents get their children ready for back to school for over a century?
This year, they are campaigning ‘Decades at School’ and will be showcasing a timeline of its school archives, focusing on how getting kids ready for back to school has changed over the years – from uniforms to packed lunches. Discover how family’s back to school journey has changed from yours to your children.
How did your back to school experience compare to your children? For mine, it was totally different to my children. I was born and raised in Singapore. Our primary and secondary schools have very strict rules on books and each school had their own individual school uniform. These rules restricted us to buy the books and uniforms from specific places or we would also get hand-me-downs from older siblings.
Testing Start-rite Warrior Shoes
Last month, we were testing out these Start-rite Warrior shoes and we wanted to see how it fared after a month. Are they standing up to the test by my active soccer mad son and will it keep going into the new school year? Yes, it did and it should!
