Flora Healthy Lunch Box Wrap

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

Both of my children school full time and each week I have to plan their meals. It is not easy to plan when you have two fussy eaters. We always go food shopping together and discuss what they like to eat for that week.

I was so pleased to do this Flora challenge and discover that they have so many tasty and healthy ideas on their website.  We had to pick a recipe from the website and the children decided to cook Chicken Tikka Wrap for their packed lunch box.

My new sculpture body with speedo

Every half term, my husband and I like to bring both our children to the local swimming baths for a family fun swim. It is usually my husband who accompanies them in the water while I sit in the viewing gallery. I am embarrassed to put on my swimming costume since I put on three dress sizes after my first pregnancy. I have never been happy with my body since, and research shows that 79% of women say that don’t know of a female who is happy with her body.

Walls of the Wild Butterfly Collection

Instead of spending your time painting a wild forest theme on your wall, why not invest in wall stickers? I love the idea of wall stickers. They are easy to use and are reusable. We were already fans of wall stickers. We had a wall sticker train set on Ms C’s wall and the children’s names on their doors. The lovely people from Walls of the Wild has given us the Butterfly collection to review. There are a total of 15 stickers consisting of butterflies, a dragonfly and a hummingbird.

How does your garden grow?

Recently, I met Annie Spratt at the Tots100 Blog Summit and found her amazing blog. I am an amateur gardener but I am very keen to learn and keep my garden in good shape. I am linking this post up with How does your garden grow? over at Mammasaurus.

Nasal Guard AllergieBLOCK Topical Gel

Both Mr K and I suffer from severe hay fever. Each time during the hay fever season, we both have to take anti-histamine drugs on a regular basis and use eyes drops. Last year, I took a home screen test which confirmed that I have an allergy to grass pollen. So my husband has to cut our lawn and I am also extremely careful to not go out when my neighbours mow their lawns.

Organyc Baby Wipes

I have never felt the need to use baby/wet wipes until I had my children. There are so many brands of baby wipes to choose to choose from. Sometimes we just have to try the different brands to find the right wipes for us. I have to be honest that I had never see Organyc Baby Wipes before in my local supermarket. But they can be found on the Pravera website. Organyc Baby Wipes are made from 100% organic cotton infused with organic Chamomile and organic Calendula.  With its mild formulation, the wipes can also be used on sensitive skin and the hands and face.

BrainBox Games Colour and Learn

Recently, we reviewed the BrainBox games My First Picture and ABC. Honestly, I did not know that they also have colouring books. I was given these two Colour and Learn Animals and Teddy Bears books for review. It is suitable for age 5 onwards. Each book has 24 tear out pictures. They are not just an original colouring book. They are educational and each picture is vividly  imaginative. The animals are not the most realistic you will ever see, but this may be to allow for easier colouring.

Disney Bambi DVD Review

Bambi is one of Disney’s classics which was first released in 1942.  He was loved by many children because he is so adorable. I still remember I cried each time when his mum got shot and died. This is one of my favourite Disney films.

Maplin EasyScan Portable Scanner

Are you sick of getting ripped off by using photocopiers in shops, public libraries and/or university? Then there’s the also the fact that you have to have the exact change for the machine. I received this Maplin EasyScan Portable Scanner for review. To be honest, I have not seen them before but they have been around for a long time. I think this portable scanner is great and is particularly useful for students for the portability and for the space saving design.

Mister Maker Volume 5

Mister Maker Volume 5 was out on DVD last week 3rd June. It is yet another brilliant craft time with him. In this DVD, there are 5 episodes and each are over 19 minutes. There are over 20 art and craft ideas making a wobbly egg, ice cream cone, 3D ships, worms in a can etc. We are big fans of the Cbeebies channel and my children love to watch Mister Maker whenever it is on. We are delighted to get this for review.

After watching Mister Maker, both children like to try out one of Mister Maker’s ideas. Today, we made the ice cream cone game! It is very simple and we are suppose to make it in a minute. With two young children, this is unrealistic as we took at least 10 minutes of craft time.

A trip to Arthur Price Factory Shop

Last Friday, I went to the Arthur Price Factory Shop spring sales to buy some gifts for my sister and for my husband for a Father’s Day gift. They are located in an industrial area and there is plenty of free parking. The shop is located on the first floor via a staircase. If access is an issue, they have a ground floor office available where products can be brought down for viewing. I would not recommend taking a pram or wheelchair if possible as the floor place is limited.

They have a large stock of cutlery, crockery and gifts. They cater for different budgets and their silverware ranges from the very affordable to the very best quality. I was amazed to see quality tableware selling at only 50p. Yes, 50p for a clearance plate or cutlery. There are many discounted tableware items and gifts. These are the few collections I would love to share with you.

Kids Grow Wild Challenge

Both of my children love gardening. They always want to help me water the plants and pull up weeds. Now the weather is getting warmer, it is the perfect time to get out into the garden to give it some TLC. Last year, we planted broad beans directly in the soil but it was eaten by slugs as they began to grow.  This year, I bought a seed tray to help our flowers grow first before we re-plant them.

BrainBox – ABC Level 2

We have previously reviewed BrainBox My First Picture and we really loved it.  It is simple yet fun to play and exercises those little brain cells! BrainBox has also kindly given us ABC for review.  It is suitable for four years and above for one or more players. BrainBox ABC is full to the brim with fantastic images to help children recognise objects beginning with each letter of the alphabet as well as the more common blends.

The object of the game is to study a card for 10 seconds and then answer a question based on the roll of a dice. If the question is answered correctly, the card is kept and the person with the most number of cards after 5 or 10 minutes is the winner. This simple concept can be played by all ages and in large groups as well as a 1 person game.
