We always love to hosting games nights and it was at least a year ago since we last spent quality time with our dear friends! Some of you might know that we went into rented accommodation then moved to our new home about five months ago. We are pretty much settled in now and getting into a nice, regular routine. This is the start of week 5 and Mr K is getting into his secondary school routine and Ms C is preparing for her SATS. It was a tough two years since we decided to pack up and move to a different county for better schools.
Anyway, giffgaff are challenging us to get connected with our close friends by hosting a fun games night by sending us a box of fabulous goodies and games!
giffgaff is a mobile network run by its members. It may be small, but it is really big on community. They really care about bringing people together and that sharing is caring sort of thing, so they are super chuffed to extend their community spirit with me! This box of goodies is packed full of fun and lovely gadgets like the camera, Amazon Echo and Anker USB plug charger. Also board games, a food voucher for our takeaway and 3 giffgaff preloaded SIM cards to share with our friends! Click this link to watch our unboxing!
Both our friends’ child and our Mr K are in their first year of secondary school and we all know how important it is for us to be able to get in touch with our children. It is only a phone call away to make sure they got to school and back alright. With giffgaff, you can either choose their giffgaff FREE SIM cards or giffgaff SIM only monthly deal from as little as £6 each month which give you 500 MB data, 300 minutes and 500 texts! This plan is definitely good enough to cover their use.
We went for the SIM only monthly deal because the preloaded SIM card will not be enough to cover his usage. Mr K had a preloaded SIM card when he was in Year 6 and a £10 preloaded SIM card does not last long at all as many apps often use data without us knowing. Also, he loves to text with one to two words the most and so he quickly used up his allowance. Now with this £6 monthly plan, I know that he will have enough to use each month and it does not cost an arm and leg.
Anyway, I am giving away a £5 free credit SIM card to TWO of my readers to win! You can use it for your child or any one of your loved ones who need this! Don’t worry about the new number as you can transfer your old numbers onto the giffgaff SIM cards. Now make sure you read on and I will tell you how to enter to win!
Last Saturday, we finally got around to inviting our friends and their children over for a games night in with an Indian takeaway! After a heavy late meal, we played a few Nintendo Switch games before proceeding with the board games!
We all love board games and it is the best way to accommodate large groups of people involved. First, we played the Weird Things Humans Search For from Big Potato Games. This is absolutely hilarious! I didn’t think human beings can be so weird! This is for aged 14 plus and all of our children are below the aged. So our lovely friend vetted each card before we played! I would definitely recommend this fun game!
Later, we played the Maki Stack party game which we had recently reviewed via Asmodee UK Blogger Board Game Club. This is a stacking game and to win, you have to stack and match the illustration on the Challenge card! The team with six Challenge cards wins the game! You can get it via Amazon here.
We finished with What’s That Smell which is a highly anticipated fragrant-guessing party game from WowWee. It opens up a world of interesting whiffs with over 50+ smells from sweet to stinky smells! This game didn’t go down so well with the party as most of us almost fainted from the smells! But you can get it via Amazon.
We had a great night and we didn’t finish the games till 1am in the morning! You may notice that I have only published a few earlier photos as I was so exhausted that I didn’t take any more photos! I had too much wine and cakes! Anyway, it was such a lovely night thanks to giffgaff.
