Nerf N-Strike Elite Surgefire Review

31 January 2018 by Eileen

Nerf have just launched this brand new Surgefire blaster for their fans! This blaster is part of the N-Strike Elite series, which features pump-action to launch from the rotating 15-dart drum. This blaster is perfect for indoor and outdoor Nerf battles with your family and friends. This is another one of their best non-motorised blasters! It is suitable for aged eight and above.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Surgefire Review

This blaster comes with 15 darts and requires minimal assembly by placing the rotating drum onto the blaster. This blaster might look chunky but it is quite lightweight and easy to hold.

My son is a big fan of Nerf blasters and owns a number of these already – he was ecstatic when he first saw this! He is able to handle and shoot well with it. We love the accuracy and distance of the darts.

Each time when you want to launch the dart, your blaster needs to be cocked by moving the orange grip all the way back then all the way forward. For younger children, they may find this action too tiring for them after sometime. As for an adult, I love this pump action and the sound it makes as it makes it more authentic. Yes, it does get quite tiring after some time and you also have to manually load each individual dart into the drum, but this adds to the appeal and it means you don’t waste all your darts in one go!

We all enjoy playing with this Surgefire blaster especially as it does not require batteries! There have been a few times where we have been caught out and run out of batteries. This blaster is well made and provides an accurate and smooth shot. We would definitely recommend it. It is available to buy from good toy retailers and Amazon.
