Discovery Toys Review

18 September 2017 by Eileen

This autumn, let’s get the children active by getting close to nature with the Discovery toys range and find out how plants, bugs and nature change over the seasons. How does nature prepare itself for the colder winter months? How do the leaves change colour. Can you find out where the insects are? Go for a walk with your family and see if you can spot where the animals are burrowing down!

discovery toys range

The Discovery toy range from Trends UK range consists of different science toys which encourages exploration and adventure. They offer real working features and educational benefits that support the STEM curriculum. The range is inspired by authentic Discovery Channel™ content, the Discovery™ brand motivates curiosity about the real world.

We are so excited to tell you more about the range of toys which are available in good toy retailers and Amazon: The Discovery 30mm Explorer Telescope, Discovery Bug Barn and Discovery Digital Walkie Talkies.

Discovery 30mm Explorer Telescope

The Discovery 30mm Explorer Telescope is lightweight and easy to focus. It features 15x magnification and is ideal for budding explorers and astronomers. This also includes a detachable tripod. Setting it up is very easy.

Discovery Bug Barn

Children will love to investigate the world of insects up close with the Discovery Bug Barn! Use the viewing container to gently collect and observe common bug specimens. This set includes observation room, magnifying glass, tweezers, canister, net and instruction manual.

With an outdoors range of up to 3km, The Discovery Digital Walkie Talkies are perfect for keeping in touch while exploring, perhaps from one garden to another! Mr K and Ms C love using these to communicate with each other at home. With 3 channels, a ringing tone to alert incoming transmissions and LED display, one-on-one outdoor communication has never been more convenient! I do find that the ring tone is slightly loud for my liking, assuming it’s designed for outdoor background noise, but it’d be nice if the volume had a setting. The voice comes through loud and clear which is great. This also comes with a night light which is so handy for when it is dark. It requires 3 AAA batteries for each Walkie Talkie. You need to remove the belt clip before you can remove the lid for the batteries.
