Buster Bathroom Plughole Unblocker Review

11 September 2017 by Eileen Leave a Comment

One of the most common plumbing problems in our home is slow drainage in our shower. As this is the main shower unit that serves our family of four, the bathroom plughole frequently builds up with long human hairs, shampoo solution, toothpaste and other grime inside the pipes! If not dealt with regularly, it will eventually lead to that dreaded full blockage. I don’t think I can handle that!

We replaced the whole shower unit after living here for nearly ten years. We thought these renovations would help with the slow draining water. But we were wrong. After a month with the new shower unit, the water was slow draining again and sometimes it built up a pool of water on the shower tray! The main culprit for the blockage is Ms C’s and my long hairs.

So I am glad to be introduced to Buster Bathroom Plughole Unblocker to try out. I was quite surprised to learn that this plughole unblocker is only RRP £3.40. It is cheaper than our usual brand. Did you know that Buster is the #1 selling plughole unblocker brand in grocery and is available at leading supermarkets? This independent family owned British brand is manufactured in the small town of Hadleigh near Ipswich!

How does Buster works? It has a unique formulation that blasts through pesky plugholes, tackles build ups and allows water to flow freely again. It is also expert at tackling other bathroom blockage culprits including soapy sludge, bath oil and toothpaste. They are the only product on the market with a unique anti-bacterial formulation!

Buster Bathroom Plughole Unblocker comes with a safety child lock cap. It is easy to pour the solution out from the tip of the bottle into the plughole. I then left it overnight (ideally, or at least 15 minutes) before we flushed it with lots of hot water. The solution does not leave any chemical smell which is brilliant! I hate those solutions that leaves a horrible chemical smell for days. Also the solution does not bubble or foam up but simply flows into the plughole.

We definitely see the difference. The water flows much more easily and there are no hairs lingering around the plughole after rinsing. I am very pleased with the result. It is not only great value for money, but works effectively too.

At Buster HQ, they are passionate about plughole and they had commissioned a scientific study by the University of East Anglia to investigate. They have found out that everyday plughole blockages typically caused by hair and soap are in fact a damp, dark, nutrient rich breeding ground for bacteria to grow on. If left untreated, bacteria laced blockages can cause really harmful pathogens such as E.coli and Salmonella to form, become airborne and pass up through the plughole in the home, landing on people and nearby objects.

I am astonished by the study and now I will make it a point to use Buster regularly to stop build up and protect my family from these harmful bacteria! For regular treatment, you will only need a third (100ml) of the bottle down the plughole, applied weekly.

When you experience slow draining water, I think it is best to act sooner rather than later before a full blockage occurs and bacteria starts to form. I would definitely recommend it.
