May is a great time for Spring cleaning as the weather is getting warmer and the days are longer. I have been busy cleaning the outdoors with the Karcher K4 pressure washer and now I am freshening up the house using Zoflora with the help from OXO Good Grips mop!
This OXO Good Grips double sided flip mop features two surfaces: soft, absorbent microfibre on one side and foamed scrubbing surface on the other. The microfibre side is perfect for dry dusting or quick mopping on many different surfaces, and the scrubbing side is great for tough stains or sticky messes. The sponge heads are securely attached with Velcro and are interchangeable and replaceable.
It is easy to alternate sides with a flip of the lightweight, aluminium Mop handle by swiping it downward. It did take me a while to get use to the mopping position. I kept getting the sides of the sponges confused.
By pushing the orange handle, the rollers will squeeze out the excess water out from the sponge. It takes a few good pushes to prevent the sponge from dripping. In the closed position, it doubles up as a stand to keep the mop upright with the sponge off the floor. It stands sturdily on any flat surface.
To freshen up my house, I have used the Zoflora Bluebell Woods, Cherry Blossom and Bouquet in different rooms. They can either be used neat or diluted. To dilute, use 1 capful of Zoflora with 40 parts of water. It will kill bacteria & viruses and eliminated odours. I love the scent of Bluebell Woods – it is such a beautiful smell.
Besides using the mop to mop the floor, you could also use it as:
- Paintbrush – need a fresh coat of paint on your wall? Maybe you could try to use this mop.
- Duster – as a 5 foot 2 inch tall woman, I find it hard to reach the ceiling. You can use the microfibre side to give it a gentle wipe!
- Cleaning car – I often find it hard to clean the roof of the car. By using this mop, it is not hard at all to reach the middle of the roof!
So what would you use your mop for?
