Loyd Grossman has recently introduced a limited edition new flavour – Mint Masala sauce into their great selection of sauces. This sauce is inspired by vibrant Indian mint ‘pudina’. It has a fresh and light fragrance.
We have received a jar of Mint Masala sauce along with a Tikka Masala sauce, rice, naan bread, Balti dish and a recipe card.
So last Saturday, I bought a packet of 500g chicken breast to cook along with the two sauces provided. Both sauces are very easy to cook with. You will just need a bit of oil, chicken breasts and rice to serve! I also added mushrooms into both of my sauce. If you are not a rice person, naan bread is always a great alternative.
It takes about 20 minutes to cook and each jar serves two to three people. Mr C and I are a big curry lovers and finished the dishes in no time.
This is my Mint Masala chicken curry in the Balti dish and Tikka Masala chicken curry in the white dish and I served it with rice.
The Mint Masala is very tasty with a hint of mint. It does say on its website that it has a fresh fragrance. I am not a mint herb fan but it works well with this sauce. It was very enjoyable and there was plenty of sauce that I could dip with my naan bread. This sauce is mild spicy and is suitable for everyone.
As for the Tikka Masala, it is also mild spicy and sweet. Mr C preferred this to the mint while I prefer the mint sauce. I would definitely recommend the Mint sauce. It is quite a unique flavour.
The limited edition Mint masala sauce is available at Sainsbury’s RRP £2.09. For more information about Loyd Grossman’s products, do check out their website: http://www.loydgrossmansauces.co.uk
Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
I agree. This limited edition Mint Masala is my flavour of the month and we’re eating it for the third time this evening while it’s on offer at Sainsbury’s for £1. Somewhere between mild and medium (there’s no chilli strength indicator on an eye-catching label) this sauce’s fresh, vibrant flavour can be restrained a little with the addition of a small amount of natural yoghurt.
Oh wow looks so delicious! Thanks for linking up to #tastytuesdays
