Paper Cut Jack-O-Lantern & Bat

9 September 2014 by Eileen

Cutting paper is one of my favourite childhood crafts. I still remember fondly helping my mother to cut the Chinese characters to paste onto food items for offering to the Buddha and his followers.

Paper Cut Jack-O-Lantern & Bat

Since Halloween is coming soon, I decided to cut a Jack-O-Lantern and bat to make a Halloween banner.

Paper Cut Jack-O-Lantern

Materials:

  • Orange paper (rectangle shape)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Pen knife

Method:

  1. Fold the paper in half.

  2. Draw this pattern with a pencil. Note: do not use marker pen on the paper. I have simply drawn on it for easier visibility for the photo.

  3. Cut the outline and use a pen knife to cut out the eye.
