Summer Activities A – Z: A

22 July 2014 by Eileen

Today is the first day of the summer holidays. My children and I have been getting busy to start our summer activities together. The day before, I asked them what they want to do for letter A. These is what we did today!

If you like to join in, please do so and comment with your link. I will pop by and have a look. It can be anything from crafts to food for the letter!

A for Address

We encouraged Mr K to learn to write our home address so he knows where we live.

A for Aeroplane

We learnt to fold an aeroplane.

A for Ambrosia

We are no strangers to the Ambrosia brand. They are always my husband’s number one choice for custard and rice pudding. We’ve tried other brands but they just don’t quite cut the custard.

ambrosia rice

Now Ambrosia has launched a new mini pots for custard and rice pudding. They are a great sized snack pack pudding for little appetites packed full of goodness with calcium and vitamin D. These mini packs comes in 5 pack of 55g portions while the other packs we normally buy is about 120g per portions.

I think they are definitely a great size for young children or when you’d like them to have a smaller portion. The taste and texture is the same. Personally, I would still buy the bigger pots as my children are older and have bigger appetites. The mini packs would probably be best suited for young toddlers!

A for Apple

We all ate a few slices of apple. As they always say: eat an apple a day, keeps the doctor away.

A for Animals

Mr K took a couple of plastic animals to play in the sand pits.

A for Anthony and the Ants & Anagranimals and the wishing tree

Tonight before bedtime, we read Anthony and the Ants and Anagranimals and the wishing tree which we had previously reviewed before. They are both fabulous books which we love to read again and again.

Come and join us again tomorrow, as we do our B summer activities!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
