Ozeri Duo Ultra Salt & Pepper Grinder Review

4 February 2014 by Eileen

Recently, I had reviewed the Ozeri Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder that looks very stylish and modern and would add a WOW factor to your dining table.  If you don’t like electric gadgets, you might want to look at this duo salt & pepper grinder that saves space with a stylish design!

My first impression was that it looks quite small and chunky but when I added the salt and peppercorns, it was actually able to fit quite a lot. The shape of the grinder is ergonomic and is nice and easy to hold. I love the brushed metal stainless steel which will reduce fingerprints.

I struggled a bit to know how to open the lid of the bottom cover. So I placed one finger in and pushed up the lid and it rotated open. Once I understood how it works, it is very simple to open the lid to use it as a funnel to add the salt and peppercorns. Some of the big peppercorns were stuck on the lid, so I have to use a stick to push it in. Otherwise they do drop in quite easily on the whole.

Also occasionally, I forgot to remove the bottom lid while grinding the salt and pepper. It took me a while to remember to remove the bottom lid before I grind. It is also fine to leave the bottom lid on with the open door. But some of the granules/corns will trap at the groove of the bottom lid. It grinds the granules into a good size and is easily to adjust the size by turning the knot at the bottom. Overall, this is quite a nice gadget but do remember to read the direction of the arrows before you grind! You won’t want salt for pepper or vice versa.

I was really excited to get asked to test one of these, but sadly it never arrived. I love spice and flavour, so I was going to fill my existing grinders full of dried chillies and other “whole” seed spices that are better freshly chopped.

This looks really stylish, and a very clever design combining the two

That looks great, I love our Ozeri Pepper Mill, but so handy to have everything in one.
