After all the festivities, I have no doubt that I have put on a few pounds as my regular exercise class has been on a break. I guess bargain hunting in the January sales does count?! We have been eating lots of chocolates, sweeties and even baking cake! Now I need to reign that back a bit and start my healthy eating plan!
Next week, it will be a nightmare with the breakfast routine as the schools reopen and Mr C goes back to work after a long break. But not too worry, as Ryvita has set me a new challenge for this January with 31 easy ways to spruce up a healthy eating plan. From spicy Cracked Black Pepper to sweet Fruit Crunch, the classic rye Ryvita® Crispbread range will give this January some crunch. I hope to be inspired with a variety of toppings, recipes and serving suggestions that will carry me through the month; completely guilt free.
If you like to share your own healthy journey through January – join the discussion on Ryvita Facebook and Twitter: #Ryvita31ways I always like to use what I have left at home. Theses are the example of what I have made:
- Cheeses: If you have cheeses that are leftover, just slice a couple and add some fresh fruits on the top.
- Dips: We occasionally get ready made dips from the supermarket. There are so many to choose from houmous, onion and garlic to cool salsa dip etc. Try spreading the dips onto any Ryvita crispbread and add slice fresh fruits or vegetables with it too.
- Spreads: No time or run out of bread? Why not try them out with peanut butter spread, apricot, strawberry jams etc! My son loves his Nutella chocolate spread and we added it to the Ryvita crispbread for a chocolatey brekkie!
- Olives: Slice some olives for an instant Mediterranean crunch!
- Egg Mayo: Boil a couple of egg for 10 minutes and peel off the skins. Mash it up and add mayonnaise, season with salt and pepper! Easy peasy!
- Prawn cocktails: Buy fresh prawns or ready cook prawns from supermarket. Mix it in with prawn cocktail sauce and it will give you an instant yummy hors d’oeuvre! Try it if you are hosting any party!

So how do you like to eat your Ryvita? My favourite is the prawn cocktail, Mr C’s is the humorous spread and the kids loved the Nutella spread.
Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
I’m a massive fan of this with Ryvita (shameless plug I’m afraid…). I just love the black pepper ones!
We live up the road from the Ryvita factory and it smells of marmite…….love marmite but not ryvita sadly
Some great ryvita ideas there, lots of healthy options for the New Year too! 🙂
oh gosh that cheese is making me feel hungry especially as I’m doing vegan january! x
I love Ryvita – especially the fruity one! Not had any for a while though – you know what I’ll be adding on my shopping list don’t you? 😉
I’ve never tried Ryvita but some of these do look good!
i love these with peanut butter on ,will give some of the other toppings a go now they look fab 🙂
I used to like it broke upo with milk!
Wowsers! You’re making me really hungry! What a great challenge and so many options too – just wonderful. I used to eat loads of Ryvita, probably should do again!
I may be the only one but I love riveta!
Wow, what a fantastic challenge. I feel I’ve missed out! Didn’t know they made a fruity Ryvite. Will try to get hold of some x
I just had a look to see if they were suitable for vegans but they contain honey.I hope you like crispbread 😉
Such great ideas 🙂 Love the idea of cheese with them x
I didn’t actually realise that there were that many ryvita flavours! I love the idea of the pumpkin seed ones
Loving all of the different flavours – I never knew there were so many ways to eat it, I usually just have it with butter and cheese!
I usually have ryvita in as a snack insread of biscuits. Love some of the flavours they make.
I’m going to love this challenge! I have lots of ideas …
Mmmm…I actually love Ryvita. I love the idea of putting things ‘on’ them that you would put more traditionally in a sandwich – like the prawn cocktail which looks scrummy. Less cals as no bread, and a different flavour/texture. Sounds like a winner to me.
Great pictures, I fancy the olives one right now.
I love your tips. My favourite is Ryvita with Hummus. I have to say I have only tried the original so you have inspired me!
I want to try the prawn cocktail, will give that one a go soon!
I never even considered how many different ways you could eat ryvita – what a great way to prevent excuses for not eating properly. I’m going to pin this on my Motivation board.
I’ve no doubt thus is a great way to lose weight, but I can’t help thinking it may be a long month! Good luck#
