McCain Home Chips Challenge

18 June 2013 by Eileen

As a family meal, we aim to eat a healthy meal with at least two portions of fish a week. To accompany the fish, I always use oven chips at the same time. We only stock McCain’s chips as they have always been our favourite chips. I love McCain’s French Fries as it is very crispy and crunchy. While Mr C prefers the texture of McCain’s Crinkle Cut chips.

McCain Home Chips Challenge

McCain’s Home Chips come in different cuts and sizes. We were given their Home Chips’ straight cut to do a fun foodie challenge. The Home Chips has a lovely golden colour. It is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.  I love the consistent thickness of each of the chips and they are brimming with delicious potato flavour.

McCain Home Chips

To take up this fun foodie challenge, I made my own dipping sauces. Firstly, I mixed lemon juice into some light mayonnaise to give it some zing. I also added a tiny sprinkle of Cajun pepper into my tomato sauce to provide some heat. There are so many sauces/condiments you can use like garlic mayonnaise, vinegar, BBQ, sweet curry, salsa sauce etc. Or pop them in with melted cheeses.

For us, McCain Home Chips has always been the number one choice for the quality, taste and presentation.  So what about you? What’s your favourite chip, and what condiments do you like to use with them? For more information, please visit: http://www.mccain.co.uk/

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
