#MAD Day Out with Legoland Windsor and Tots100

17 June 2013 by Eileen

We were so lucky to win tickets to join all the MAD finalists at Legoland on June 16.  We went there last year and we were all really excited as to go again. This time it was even more special as not only did we have VIP tickets, we were invited to watch the preview showing of the Legends of Chima 4D movie. This is a short family movie that incorporates 4D effects, such as water, wind, snow and fire. Yes, fire! We were shocked by the heat of fire but it made the experience all the more interesting.

After the movie, we went down to DUPLO Valley to take part in a group photo. DUPLO Valley is the newest land at LEGOLAND Windsor and combines a mixture of wet play and dry play attractions.

We loved our VIP treatment from Legoland! We kept flying towards the Q-Bots lane/Exit and flashing our VIP gold wristbands. This means we get prioritised queuing and no waiting for half anhour to go on just one ride! We managed to go on so many more rides this time around and was able to explore the park more fully. When we go next time, we would definitely pay for Q-Bots – it just makes the whole day much more fulfilling and I’m much less likely to have to listen to the constant moaning from my children that they’re bored or tired!

The highlight of the day is definitely the SQUID surfer! I can’t believe that they are hiding this on the left of the hotel. We almost missed it. My son loved it so much that he went twice with my husband. This ride is suitable for children over 0.9 metres and under 1.3 metres needs to ride with an adult. We both accompanied a child.  Be prepared to get wet on this thrilling water attraction as spectators can trigger ‘water bombs’ that explode from the water. Ms C had so much fun pressing this button!

We had so much of fun and I would like to share with you some of our photos. I would highly recommend Legoland as they are cater for all ages! Do remember to bring your swimwear if you would like to visit the DUPLO Valley or if you forget to bring it, you still can buy it from the shop. A big thanks to Tots100 and LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort for their kind hospitality.
