These few weeks I have seen people post Wimbledon themed cakes and I decided to make some too! This is a classic Victoria sponge recipe but instead of vanilla essence, I have swapped it with rose water.

We used to live in Southfields which was only a stones throw away from Wimbledon. There was always such a great atmosphere for the two weeks during Wimbledon. The massive queues even during the rain didn’t turn the fans away. We have been lucky with the British weather this week, with lots of glorious sunshine!
