Monchhichi go on Tour
Did you know that Monchhichi has been around for over 40 years now? Monchhichi was first created by Mr K. Sekiguchi from Japan. He developed a human like monkey doll who sucked his thumb to become everyone’s friend and to deliver messages of peace and love around the world.
Japanese Surprise Box Unwrapped
My son has been watching quite a lot of video on YouTube and one of the videos he saw was about unwrapping a food box and trying out the snacks in it. So he asked my sister who happened to be working in Japan at the time to make him a box.
I asked her to get us a small box of candies and I was so surprised to receive a huge box of Japanese goodies! Some of them are my favourites too! I have been to Japan three times for holidays and I am totally in love with the place and their cute ‘kawaii’ foods/snacks. They place emphasis on the emotive packaging and pay extra attention to detail. It makes the food so appealing!
Summer Activities A – Z: J
This is another great set of summer activities we did for the letter J yesterday! J is joyful and my children are a testament to that. They had so much fun at the National Forest Adventure farm.
Sakata Japanese Rice Cracker
I am a big fan of Japanese food and have been to Japan three times in total for holidays. I am not a stranger to Japanese rice crackers at all. I use to eat regularly when I lived in Singapore. When I came to England in 2002 to work, it was not easy to buy Japanese rice crackers in your local supermarkets and I was only able to find them in the supermarkets in Chinatown.
