Monchhichi go on Tour

9 June 2015 by Eileen

Did you know that Monchhichi has been around for over 40 years now? Monchhichi was first created by Mr K. Sekiguchi from Japan. He developed a human like monkey doll who sucked his thumb to become everyone’s friend and to deliver messages of peace and love around the world.

Bandai was appointed to be the Monchhichi distributor in the UK from 2015 onwards and this April, they launched a new range of collections with new designs, styles and outfits! They come in different sizes: mini 10 cm Monchhichi key rings, 20 cm Classic, 20 cm Fashion, 20 cm Sleeping, 20 cm & 45 cm Mother Care, 20 cm Pyjama Boy and 80 cm Boy & Girl collection. They are available to buy from Argos, the Entertainer, Debenhams, Harrods, Hamleys, Toymaster, Smyths and Amazon.

Last half term, we were quite busy and took the little Pink Monchhichi out on an adventure. First, we went to Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World for Ms C’s birthday treat and bring her on a couple of rides. Both of my children were very excited to show her around the theme park.

Later that week, she also came along to have lunch with us at Wagamama. She indeed loves Japanese food where she comes from.

We also took her out on a Multi Faith Trails school trip. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take random photos there but she accompanied Ms C during lunch break. Ms C loves Monchhichi and wanted to place it on her book bag to bring it to school too! So little Monchhichi will keep her company through school for a mini adventure! She also went shopping with us!

If you happen to have a new or old Monchhichi, why not post a photo of your adventure on to Monchhichi Facebook’s page to let them see what you guys have been up to!

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

I am very jealous of Ms C’s Monchhichi! My very first teddy was one of these which I still have today. I really should get the Little A’s one each 😀
