Kite Making with Project Dad

Last week, while I was at Britmums live, Project Dad from Parragon Books came just in time for Mr C to try out with both children. This book will give dad some ideas of what to do together with their children.

Conquered Conkers

Conkers is a great family-friendly centre, in the National Forest with indoor and outdoor play areas, discovery zones and an amphitheatre. This coming 13th July 2015, they will open the High and Low ropes course which we are looking forward to go on. The High Ropes course has 15 aerial sections to complete while the Low Ropes course are for junior visitors to take on 10 different elements of adventure.

Although it rained non-stop, it didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves with the Bush Craft Survival session, Barefoot Challenge and other outdoor activities. After meeting up with others, we were divided into groups and were given a map to locate our own survival equipment.

Springtime at National Adventure Farm

Can you believe it is going to be spring time soon? Hooray! We can’t wait to spend more time outdoors now! Yesterday, we went the National Adventure Farm which is located in Burton upon Trent, within an hours drive from Stafford, Stoke, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester etc. It is quite easy to find the place. There is plenty of free parking plus disabled parking right at their entrance.

Build Your Own Den with pl-ug

In these modern times, we all try hard to give our children the best and of course, provide them with a fun childhood.  At times, Mr C will build a den with the kids and have their mini party while I cook lunch/dinner.  I am so pleased to come across pl-ug (the den expert) at the recent Toy Fair.  Now I won’t need to look for my missing pegs or clips as they have proper kit to help them build a proper canopy den!
